Plays better when it's tougher opposition

And even then it wasn’t him being lightweight, he thought it would be easy and far too casual. Hopefully has learned his lesson because he can more than deal with top players.

He's a quick, quality big defender when he's on it..

    Got all the attributes..

Hopefully getting a good pre season he can really kick on now..

Its massively exaggerated and always has been.

    Same with Engels being pish.

As much as £26m on those 3 last summer was a lot, I don't think you can say it's been a complete waste until their time at the club has ended. That's when we can fully judge. Although I would say Idah we did overpay but it is what it is. I dont think we will lose that much on him if he was to go.

The way I see it, if we sold Engels just now we'd make a profit. It wouldn't be a massive profit, but I think we could get around £13-£15 million for him.

I dont think we overpaid for Trusty either, his best games have came in the Champions League, hes another I think we could break even or sell for a small profit If he was to leave.

We would struggle to get close to what we paid for Idah tbh, I think if he left now we'd get around £4-£6 million for him, but we all knew we overpaid at the time, so no real surprise.

I think with Trusty it's a confidence thing rather than a lack of aggression. The game against Dundee, he was ragdolled by Murray, and he was terrible away to hibs, but hes not had many bad games outside those two. Never got a proper run against the huns either.

Said it before. He have always been our 2nd best cb after Ccv. He was fantastic in rurope and suddenly got dropped. Never understood where the claims of him being * came from

Trusty has to be first choice with CCV - if he is, he'll be stellar for us this season

FFS Brendan get the Scales tinted glasses aff

Seriously struggling to see how anybody who knows anything about football watches him and thinks Scales is a better option.

    I'm not a huge fan but he's had a pretty solid pre-season.

I like him. Needs a run in the team if there's no one else coming in. Got that 1st season under his belt, probably settled (as much as you can wi a new baby) a bit. A full pre-season done. A few ropey moments, but probably written of too soon.

    Good.

There should be interested parties snooping around him then.

I'd like Rodgers to give the old CCV-Trusty partnership another chance. When Trusty concentrates and accepts that he's not the second coming of Baresi, he's actually quite a solid defender.
