Had a good chance to slip a fairly easy ball through to Kenny tonight but went badly wrong, does not look confident. Could be a talented player but appears to be out of his depth at Celtic.

It's actually quite worrying that we identify guys like Tillio and sign them over playing our own youth.

I know different positions, but guys like Kenny, Ire, McArdle, Doak before, all look a helluva lot better and worthy of chances than this guy.

Albeit he hasn't been given much chance (thankfully), but it's still worrying we sign these players and bloat out our squad and thus reducing even the chance for our own youth

I’ve said forever he’s not Celtic worthy, and I’ll always defend Oz players if they’re good enough. He’s not, in my view, but I’ve heard (to my surprise) that Brendan sees something in him. Would not be surprised to see him go to England this window - maybe League 1

Rapid Vienna are keen on Celtic winger Marco Tilio.

The Austrian side have been trailing him since his successful loan at Melbourne City.

The 23-year-old was one of the stars of the A-League on his spells back there over the last two seasons.

Tilio has since returned to Celtic where he is currently on pre-season tour with the Scottish champions.

And Record Sport understands Rapid Vienna are keen to bring in another winger and are keen to see if they can do a deal to get Tilio.

It remains to be seen if the Australian international will get his chance under Brendan Rodgers.

Tilio made his first Celtic appearance in 18 months when they lost to Estrela de Amadora earlier this week.

He has made just two Premiership appearances since his arrival from Melbourne City in the summer of 2023.

Celtic have just signed Benjamin Nygren who plays on the same wing, although they have also sold Nicolas Kuhn to Como.

Rapid Vienna also have a decent relationship with Celtic having sold them Kuhn last year.

Should have been loaned to a European or UK team from the start.

Interesting that Rapid are wanting him, they use a lot of data for their signings so must see something in him. At least if he’s turns out class for them we get him back next year.

The nine-time Australian national player is to come on loan - including purchase option - from the Scottish record champion Celtic Glasgow to Hütteldorf. According to Sky information, however, a fixed transfer is still an issue.

The 23-year-old winger should increase the width of the green-whites in the offensive game. Most recently, Tilio was on loan to Melbourne City for two seasons, where he scored five goals in 19 appearances in the last A-League season and contributed just as many assist

Would rather have sold him even for a small fee.

We are only allowed 6 loans

We currently have Holm and Nawrocki out, Palma likely to go on ltb too. So only leaves us 2. So that would mean 1 of Kenny, Osmand or Inamura not getting the chance to go out on loan and develop bcoz we are spamming them up with Mark Lawwells duds.

Although if it means Inamura stays here than I'd be happy enough with that

Sounds like it may still end up being a sale. As mentioned above with Holm and Nawrocki out, Palma on the brink of a loan and then add Tilio, we would probably only be loaning out Kenny or Osmond and Inamura would definitely be staying.

Good move. He looked OK yesterday.

We must be close to some wingers.

Decent deal that, I'd put a buy back of like 3m on just on the back of how well they replaced Kuhn and sold with him
