What happened with Daizen indicating he'd like to sign a new contract. Bullshit I assume

Why would you assume that? He thoroughly deserves a new deal if he’s still here by the end of the window, no? He’s in a strong position whereby he knows there could be firm interest in him this summer, but won’t be devastated if it comes to nothing.

As I said, it’s not a dissimilar situation, as neither player is kicking the door down or likely to throw toys out the pram.

You said he told the club he wanted to sign a new deal. He hasn't. I assume it was alot of * and hes not wanting to sign one at all

Since he told the club he was willing to negotiate a new deal, has he even spent a week in Glasgow?

I’d be surprised if he signed a new deal in the next month. It’s not a particularly quick process at the best of times, never mind when agents are busy focusing on transfers.

You're very much trying to cover all bases now I see just in case he leaves or stays

Running about telling the club he’ll be away if an offer comes in

Was there not some noise about him moving last summer? Really not surprised if this is a goer, and as much as I want him to retire here I think Maeda will be waiting to see what his options are as well, even if we have slapped a massive new deal in front of him, they've done it all here the last few years and just might not fancy another season in scotland.

The press would have picked up on it

If it came from a legitimate source

End up leaving in the last week of the window and we'll have no time to replace him.

Really hope that the club have done their scouting in preparation for him leaving and we have 4 or 5 players similar to Hatate's traits. He's frustrating but we would miss Hatate a lot more than people realize

Really don’t want him to leave but if he is to go, it has to be for £10m-£12m minimum.

you're joking right? it would need to be much more than that. No one else in the team brings what he does.

Not sure there is anything in the Porto link they seem to have a decent number of midfield options and just spent a fair bit on an attacking midfielder. Unless they are likely to lose any of their big players, they may be struggling a bit financially to pay decent money too.

Although the guy from Brazil largely seems to have posted stories that have some truth to them or are at least in line with other reports. Time will tell with this one.

Showed his class again against Sporting the other night. Hopefully we can keep him for another season but if he does go it will be for a bigger fee for sure I agree.

I can’t see anybody making a bid big enough for us to be tempted to sell him. He’s worth a lot more to us than we would get. Between £10m to £15m at the highest end possible I think we would attract, and that isn’t worth it for us.

The only consideration would be if he forces it or not. BR’s first season I thought that’s what he was doing, then he signed a new deal. So I’m more than hopeful about him continuing here as he has if we didn’t get the right bid even if he would want to leave for who has. Before the window I was sure he’d go, now can’t really see it happening

    Hes away i think.

This Japan team * is a * curse. Moriyasu is an iron cast * who is full of contradictory *.

Hes has Japanese players all over Europe agitating for moves to the "bigger leagues" because hes a * moron.

Kyogo just Gary Hoopered his entire * career trying to please the *.

That being said Hatate moving to Portugal is a far better move than Kyogo's. He'll do well there.

15m and he can * off. Thanks for the times you actually turned up. Nothing more.

We, ie. the club/ Rodgers/ Lawwell need to get the * finger out asap. We're gonna end up in big * Barney Rubble here unless we get some succession planning installed.

If there was anything credible about that rumour then it would have been reported on elsewhere.

I think Kyogo’s situation could help in Hatate’s case. Hatate is already in every Japan squad and getting minutes for them. Unfortunately for him they have a number of fantastic midfielders who have played in top European leagues for 5+ years.

The best thing for Hatate in the run up to a World Cup is staying here where he knows he’s going to start every game and putting in the graft to have a cracking season.

Makes more sense than going to a Bologna, or Frankfurt and potentially finding himself fighting for minutes

I’d say its more likely he’d go for an EPL club than Porto, we shouldn’t even listen to offers below £20M if we want to be serious about keeping our key players.
