I'm not sure he'd see a move to Scotland and us as a step up from belgium

As a club we are bit as a league no. He's probably looking for both. Portugal, Holland, France etc

Its the club not the country.

Many EPL players, the so-called greatest league on the world, would jump at the chance to play for PSG, Juve, Bayern etc.

Harry Kane being a prime example. Dumping the so called greatest league in the world and a so called "super league" side to play in a weaker league with less financial muscle.
He could've had his pick of EPL title contenders, but chose Bayern.

We are miles above Cercle Brugge. Its not even a debate.

It’s both and it’s massively naive to think otherwise.

Harry Kane signing for one of the world’s top 5 clubs playing in one of the world’s top 5 leagues and competing in the Champions League every year, doesn’t help the point you’re trying to make.

It’s like comparing signing for us and signing for Como for example. We’re obviously a far bigger club, but they play in a far better league and, even without European football, are guaranteed 16 games a season against top European clubs (Milan, Inter, Napoli, Juve, Atalanta, Roma, Lazio, Fiorentina), whereas we can only offer 8 European games and 4 against the Huns. Some players will see that, along with the prestige of playing for us and winning trophies, as more than enough to entice them to Scotland and others simply won’t.

I imagine somebody playing for Killie or St Mirren would jump at the chance to play for Dinamo Zagreb, RB Salzburg or Rosenberg/Molde.

While i agree in principle, i think you’ll find a lot of the time players would love to play for us but don’t wanna play in Scotland. I genuinely don’t think there would be a more attractive option in the UK bar two if we were based in England
