Luis Palma's door is open at Celtic

The Honduran striker was called up to the Scottish club's preseason squad. Everything points to him staying at Celtic for the new season.

Criminal if we see a future with him at the club instead of just moving on and finding better.

Doesn’t really tell us anything to be fair … we would probably have a harder time trying to punt him if he was banished from pre season of something :56:

Think he got a * deal tbh. Surely in some of those games we had absolute nobody to come on after yang, he would have been useful.

That article is a load of *.

He’s a Celtic player of course he’s rejoining the squad to train.

    Doesn’t mean he isn’t leaving.

Such arrivals would naturally spell the end of the road for some current squad members, and Luis Palma is one player the club are now prepared to part with. Sources have told Celtsarehere that Celtic have attached a £3 million price tag for the Honduran international, who they are willing to offload if a suitable offer materialises

Interest has emerged from both Major League Soccer and Mexico’s Liga MX, but they are unwilling to meet Celtic’s valuation. The 25-year-old’s future remains in limbo as the club looks to balance their squad ahead of another demanding season.

Since arriving at Parkhead, Palma has made 48 appearances, scoring 10 goals and assisting the same number. Despite being under contract until 2028, the club appear ready to cut ties if they can recoup a fair fee.

With movement expected on the flanks in the coming weeks, Palma’s situation could develop quickly – provided one of his suitors are willing to meet Celtic’s asking price

Rodgers saying hes likely to go out on loan.

Guess theres not much interest in buying him after his performances over the last 18 months.

Hopefully does well on loan this time and we get some kind of fee for him.

Celtic’s out-of-favour winger Luis Palma is set to leave the club to join Polish side Lech Poznan on loan, sources have told Football Insider.

Palma, 25, is well down the pecking order at Celtic and spent the second half of last season on loan at Olympiacos, where he scored one goal and provided one assist in 11 appearances for the Greek giants.

The Honduras international was left out of Celtic’s squad for the training camp in Portugal so he could sort out his future.

Palma turned down offers from the EFL Championship, Turkey and MLS to join Lech Poznan, who will play in Europe next season as they aim to qualify for the Champions League

He has a full agreement in place with the Polish club and the deal is set to be finalised soon.

Signing from Aris Thessaloniki in the summer of 2023, Palma was an instant hit at Celtic Park, notching 10 goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances, but his second campaign was far from ideal.

He made just 12 starts for the Hoops last season, adding no goal contributions to his record before being loaned out to Olympiacos, and now the Honduras international is set for another loan move, this time to Poland.

His contract runs out on 30th August 2028. He has no future at Celtic.

Poland is a really non physical league surprisingly and Poznan is one of the top teams so you would hope he could show up well in that league.

I was hoping he would go permanently but it sounds like we are pricing him out of that just now. It’s a risk when we could likely get him moved on for a little cheaper.

Luis Palma is close to joining @LechPoznan

The @Celticfc winger could move to Poznań on a one-year loan. Talks are ongoing. If it goes through, it’ll be a big deal, as Palma is a top-tier player. The agreement is expected to include a VERY HIGH buyout clause (around €4.5 million
