Still no keen on him from any I've seen and his injury record..

Also another thing is us losing that rapid speed in Kuhn from the wings. Balikwisha added to Nygren and Jota, doesn't add any elite level speed..

I'd prefer Jansson over Balikwisha for that reason alone and that he looks more comfortable in the second video on either side..

Still hope we go for some other wingers..

 

I think the one thing Balikwisha has over some of the others linked is having. Played and scored in the CL and against teams like Brugge shows he can or at least has contributed at a high level in the past.

 

Strange too that he actually came back from injury and was better than he was when originally linked. Finished the season brilliantly against all the best of the league post-split.

personally I’m not sure he would suit how we play/want to play but if a player has the quality I’m sure they can be coached. Kuhn wasn’t necessarily a great fit for us to begin with but became so

Doesn’t help the potential for injury if the fitness levels aren’t what the eye should/could be.

 

I’m slightly worried by his injury record but I think he looks a good player. Having him and Jota on the left and Jansson and a new RW on the other side, with Nygren and Ambrosino able to play in behind Maeda is exciting and definitely strengthens the squad.

 

Like others have said I would rather have the other winger we are linked with.

Rodgers is also closing on Belgian winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha, with Nicolas Kuhn travelling to Como to seal his £17m exit from Parkhead.


Reports in Belgium claim Celts have also stepped up interest in Balikwisha.

 

I want him and another winger in tbh.

My only concern is his injury record. He looks good enough to offer us something.

Michel-Ange Balikwisha wasn't involved in Royal Antwerp training this morning amid transfer links to Celtic.


The winger has long been mooted as a potential target for the Parkhead club.

With Nicolas Kuhn set to join Como and Jota due to be out until at least the new year, Brendan Rodgerswill undoubtedly be in the market for a wide man, or perhaps even two, this summer.

Balikwisha is an option, and it was reported last month that the player wants the move, and talks are underway.


As Antwerp, his club, trained this morning, Balikwisha wasn't one of the 28 players involved, claims Belgian outlet GVA.

Although the 24-year-old spent most of last season out with injury, he still managed four goals and three assists in 17 appearances.


The campaign prior, he contributed to 17 goals in 44 games.

Speaking on potential incomings after his side's 2-1 win over Cork City in pre-season on Tuesday evening, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers said: "There is a lot of work going on in the background and things that are what we're hoping to achieve over the coming weeks," he said [RecordSport].

"We definitely need that there, especially at the top end of the pitch. But no, a lot of work is going on, but I can't confirm that there's anything there at this moment."

 

Cant emphasise enough how much i don't fancy this move at all.
