I'm not getting carried away. However barca think yamal at 17 is good enough, then this guy is even better. 100m sale by 19. Fact.

 

Sean McArdle was just two years old when Forrest netted his first goal for the Bhoys back in 2010, a fact likely to make all observers feel ancient. The teenager was handed his second brief Celtic cameo in as many games on Wednesday. He has already caught the eye of his manager and supporters with some slick combinations and a fearlessness in his midfield play.

McCowan is also a fan and reckons, given McArdle is destined for bigger things, his teammate should be practicing his autograph skills.

The midfielder said, amused, “He was behind me in one of the signing sessions and you usually just scribble your name with a number. He's written his full name, government name, just out in print and I said, ‘Sean, you need to work on that, you could be there for ten hours walking out of Parkhead!’

“He works hard and you can tell that he's desperate to come into the Celtic first team and prove himself. If he performs the way he did at Pittodrie, I'm sure he'll have many more cameos, because he's been a credit to himself to come in, train well and play well.”

Hard to judge with these sub appearances when the games have fizzled out a bit, so would love to see him start on Sat, especially with Reo out, so lets start Cal Engles and Sean on Sat.

 

More than happy to see him come on as a sub, but a bit of a kick in the teeth to Bernardo and McCowan (especially) if one of those don't get to start after being patient all season, with a 17yo playing infront of them at the first opportunity. McCowan to start for me, especially after Pittodrie

 

He looks like he could be top tier.

 

Did he have a knock or anything?

I find it astonishing he wasn't on the bench..

 

Considering the context of trophy day, in recognition of more service this season etc, who would you have left off?

That is pretty much what I think determined that.

 

Hopefully we see plenty of him during pre-season and he makes squads next year. Can't see him getting near the cup final.

 

Could've left Schlupp out. Away in the summer and been poor recently, plus had Trusty and Nawrocki as centre half subs so Scales or Trusty could've moved over/came on at left back..

I still hold out a bit of hope he'll be in the squad for it..

Give me a player with the confidence, swagger and quality to make something happen like this boy emerging.....over some that started in the middle Saturday....any day..

 

Funny you say that because from what I've seen from this bhoy so far he's 100% destined for Barcelona.

Hopefully a long deal, really looks to have something about him from the wee flashes I've seen. Mibbes just desperation fer another academy boy to come through but I think he can make the step up to 1st team. New deal then a decent level of loan I'd like to see for him.

 

New deal then actually play him! Looked class every time we’ve seen him as did Turley before…. We have 5 subs every game, need to get him playing every game if not every second game.

don’t think a loan to the championship will help us see what he can do with us. And don’t think a team in the prem will take him to develop him over players they will have in their youths
