Engles we paid top dollar for as well, his side are in a good position and we had money to spend, again we paid above what we should have but sometimes we have to do that.

11m they can * do one.

No team is paying 11m for a player from the Norwegian league with basically less than a season of first team football under his belt. Unless those loopers at Everton decide to come in for him.

Looks decent and all, but 11m is "* no" territory for me. Id be flabbergasted if PSV or Lille were willing to pay that.

The original asking price, which we tried to negotiate in January was 7m. Now 11? Thats a * of a bump, and not justified in any way, no matter how many teams are in for him. We were reluctant to pay 7m . Not a chance in * we pay 11.

11m gets us a far better and more experienced player than he currently is.

This one is dead im afraid.

 

See PSV may be put off with the price tag too, they are rumoured to be looking at Jesper Karlsson from Bologna who is also a light footed left winger.

 

Aye they aren't getting the reported amount they want not a chance.

I think Brondby are doing the same with Kvistgaarden apparently theres been no firm offers for him from anyone

 

Aye as much as I rate him, I don't see even the likes of PSV or anyone going to 11 at this point.....so maybe we'll revisit later on..

Kvistgaarden I could see being bought for good money but I wouldn't be overly surprised if they have to lower their asking price a tad..

 

Yeah see when that Marius Broholm go to Lille for between €5-6m who I would argue is a similar level of player if not actually had more impressive stats asking for £11m will price the guy out a move.

It will be interesting to see if he is still not got a move further in the window if his club lower their demands.

 

We’ve had an offer rejected for him. More than we offered in January, but nowhere near the £11m being suggested.

They'll never get 11 so if it was 6 mill in January, we can't be too far away from meeting somewhere that's acceptable for 8 mill or so.....if I'm assuming we've bid around 7 mill so far..

After selling star player Noa Lang to Napoli for a sum of up to 30 million euros, Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven have identified a Norwegian top-flight player as a replacement.

Sarpsborg 08's Sondre Ørjasæter is at the top of the wish list.



PSV's interest in the dribbling winger has been known for a while, but according to Eindhovens Dagblad, it hasn't been "very hot."

That has now changed drastically.

According to Scottish media, PSV has now taken "pole position" in the battle for the 21-year-old's signature.

The Dutch club is said to have better cards in hand than the Scottish giants Celtic.

Requires a huge sum
Sarpsborg 08 has very good negotiating skills, with a contract that extends through the 2028 season.

This has led to the club putting a sky-high price tag on its jewel.

According to reports, Sarpsborg is demanding a total package of over 100 million kroner for Ørjasæter.



There is therefore much evidence that PSV is considering a Norwegian to fill the void left by Noa Lang.

The club has also shown specific interest in Andreas Schjelderup in Benfica.

The latter may, however, be more expensive, and Ørjasæter thus emerges as a very relevant, albeit expensive, alternative for the Dutch top club.
