As far as I know, Hamill is still the head of academy coaching or something along those lines. Good shout.

Logically we are the perfect move for him , learn under Callum, Rodgers. Good facilities and familiar coaches /players. Win some medals and get experience in Europe and move on after a few years. Wee * doesn't even need to move , we are the logical choice.

It would be a cracking signing to get in if we can. High potential and I think he would thrive in a team with better players.

The one thing I keep coming back to with this is that we had bids rejected in January.

So, we definitely are interested.. and if we went as far to approach Motherwell then surely Lennon is too?

Everything I've heard is that he wants a move to England or abroad.

If he's smart... Better terms, less scrutiny, chance to actually develop without everyone jumping on his back... Moving to Glasgow is all about letting your heart decide at this stage because we're massively critical of players and the Huns are a bag of cats...

I'd be happy to see him in the hoops, as long as the price isn't crazy, but for his own development (ala McGinn) he's better off sidestepping the hassle...

Logically, we’re probably the worst move for him. He doesn’t get as much game time here so doesn’t progress as much, he has all the pressure of being a Celtic player to deal with and the high fee that is likely so if he has one bad game the majority of fans will make it known.

He goes abroad, probably earns more money, definitely likely to be a starter and potentially makes a huge impact like McTominay, Ferguson, Gilmour, etc. his smartest decision is to go abroad.

'definitely likely '......'potentially makes a huge impact' . If I was his dad, I'd be pushing him towards us, it's a much more sensible and safe next step.

We can't get every Tim who is a decent footballer, as much as we would like. The only thing that could make this happen is a serious injury to McGregor.

I posted the same in his thread the other day, but mcgregor at 32 year old shouldn't dictate whether we sign the next best thing in Scotland at 18 years old who could be in our midfield for a decade + if he chose to be.

I feel like the notion mcgregor needs to play every game will be to the detriment of the team eventually. The same happened with Brown.

We need to learn to play and win without him as well as be able to sign the right up and coming players for the club.

And I'm a big mcgregor fan. But I don't want our reliance on him ruining chances of getting some talented young midfielder(s) in.

But it will dictate Miller's preferences. If McGregor is the nailed-on starter and fit all the time, the kid won't come.

Why? What makes us a more sensible and safer next step than going abroad to Italy or Germany or wherever he may end up?

Regardless of where he goes the number one thing will be game time, yes going abroad there is the cultural considerations that you need to have, language, culture, food, way of life really as well, it was well documented even a superstar like Bale struggled to fit in with the culture and lifestyle of Madrid.

It cannot be assumed that just because McTominay and Ferguson etc have done well in Italy that Miller automatically does too. Likewise there is no guarantee on a player settling at us however there is less of an unknown there for the boy but playing for Motherwell and us in terms of attention are two different beasts.

Another thing is where does he ultimately see himself ending up? Is the long term go EPL? If he comes to us vs some of the others it could be easier to end up in EPL or he may view it as the opposite?

Sounds like we want to sign him, he fancies abroad but perhaps not all said and done yet.

Definitely agree, the biggest priority is game time! I don’t think he gets enough here, though I do think he’s capable and good enough, he has a lot of potential.

Yeah there’s definitely many risks going abroad and the success of the recent Scot’s abroad doesn’t guarantee his success.

However, I think he’ll be successful, I also think he’d be successful here. For me he has more potential than what we seen from Ferguson at Aberdeen and McGinn at Hibs. Doesn’t mean he’ll be as good as them but at the same age, I think he’s a bit ahead so will be interesting to see how he develops.

Is he no a bit of a home-bird by all accounts, still at his da'sm...does he have younger siblings?

I know he sadly lost his old dear as well..

I'm just asking these as it's a lot. His old man would probably wanna be near wherever he goes and if there's younger weans, it gives us more of a chance getting him....if that makes sense..

    I know what I mean..
