Think we need to sign one regardless. Even if it's

    CCV
    New CB
    Trusty
    Scales

I just can't face having Scales as a starter next year and Trusty doesn't seem to be the answer permanently. But I still prefer him to the former. Ideally I'd have:

    CCV
    New CB
    Trusty
    New CB (younger)

And I'd sell Scales and Lagerbielke, then loan Nawrocki. Sadly Rodgers won't do that.

    Needed:

    • CB to partner CCV (sell Lagerbielke, Welsh and one of Trusty/Scales/Nawrocki)
    • CDM
    • CAM in the mould of O’Riley
    • Winger
    • CF

Pretty sure everyone will agree that we need to be looking forward not backwards. This squad badly needs new faces who will bring a renewed hunger.

As brilliant as Kyogo was, he dropped off a cliff under Rodgers. Doesn’t suit his style. Can’t see him wanting to come back either tbh, considering he had been working his ticket for 6 months prior.

    Milosavljevic £7m
    Kvistgaarden £12m
    Mills £1m (?)
    Miller £6m
    Tiknaz £5m
    Doohan free
    Tierney free

    £32m get it done already.
Money in the bank means we could do that without blinking or selling anyone.

Hatate, Lagerbeilke, scales could being us in £15-20m

If we sold Kuhn as well for £15m, that then covers expenditures, but would then certainly want a winger in as well to replace Kuhn.

Seriously mate not a chance we spend anything like that this summer. Be lucky to spend £8m to £10m on a few players. Rodgers leaving next summer no UCL guarantee and from next season only winners get into UCL qualifying and its 3 rounds.

Probably downsize this summer knowing Rodgers is away next summer and the income from UCL wont be there for next few seasons

On CL qualification this seasons winner has the same route as this year, it’s after this season it likely goes of a cliff for the 27/28 CL season so it’s a bit away yet.

I think we will spend a bit this year but I think we will bring in a few big fees.

This will be like the 2018 window 100% nailed on. This board isn't going to commit tens of millions to a guy who is away a year from now with no guarantee of UCL income not a * chance anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't know the script!

    Must have missed them.

His horrific performance at Ibrox in January is burned into my brain

Fair enough didnt know that mate. Nah for me its get as much as we can in and hope we remain just ahead of rangers. Then maybe back a new guy next summer. Agreed on the big departures though. But all project signings again for me this summer in the usual sub £3m bracket hoping we find a gem or 2.

Every Celtic player was bad in that game, it's unfair to single out Scales, when none of them turned up that day.
Scales has had more good games against Rangers than bad. He has also scored in the Champions League and got back-to-back Champions League man-of-the-match awards awards against Slovan Bratislava and Feyenoord He's not perfect by any means, even CCV has had his off days, but he does a very good job for Celtic and can also fill in at LB. Until or unless we sign another CB who is demonstrably better than him, then I think Brendan will stick to the CCV/Scales first choice CB partnership next season.

I think you're right in regards to him sticking with they 2 bcoz he's clearly decided Trusty isn't ahead of Scales so if that's the case Trusty needs to go and a higher quality of centre back has to be a top priority bcoz there is no way we can go into a 3rd season with Liam Scales as our starting CB.

There's not a chance we only spend £10m.

The Huns will spend more than that ffs.
