    Nah I disagree.

It's not comparable to most of the other failures up top. If we'd paid £4m and got 20 goals out of him considering the amount of games he'd started I'd be delighted with that as a first season and can guarantee there would be chat of how much beyond £10m or so we could get for him.

You know i think he's a good player, may see a better side of him this season. Need a big guy up front and he gets the club. Some of the abuse he often gets (especially on X about his lack of 'irishness') is disgraceful.

I wouldn’t write him off yet. Look Maeda first year and half. His finishing was * and diddnt score many.
This season he has been good.
I would give idah another season to see if he can man up and be striker we know he can be.
I feel like we don’t use him properly and play to his strength.
That villa away game was example how useful he could be with right set up to suit his game

Hopefully Idah being there from day 1 of pre-season this year will help him take another step forward next season.

Praying the big man puts his heart and soul into pre season training and finds a ruthless mindset. The talent and attributes he has are genuine top class, if he can bring that to the fore next season he'll be massive for us.

The problem he has is he won't be the first choice striker, no doubt he'll score goals over the course of a season he's already shown that.

Has the raw attributes, it's his mentality for me

When Maeda doesn't score he's still a massive contributor to our overall play on and off the ball, Idah looks like he can't be arsed half the time, there's no comparison.

Reckon there's a player there but, first up, he needs to bulk up, way too flakey physically for the size of him.
If he was to get with a strength and conditioning coach, bulk up in pre season, then he could hit the ground running with a good pre season under his belt.

    I agree.

He needs to add a bit of 'bastardness' to his game. All too often looks a bit too unbothered.

For me, a "raw attribute" is the ability to control a ball......

Think he's a perfect 2nd choice striker for us tbh. Just wouldn't feel comfortable with him being 1st choice.
He's scored some huge goals for us I think it would be incredibly harsh to move him on yet

Just needs to get the feckin finger oot
he has a huge opportunity and the attributes to be a hero here - don't blow it by putting in 90% then in 6 years time be talking about regrets to the Daily Record when playing lower reaches of championship.

Cmon big man, get it sorted.

Has natural strength, power, pace.. his instinctive finishing is good. It's other bits where he looks a bit lost.

Incredibly generous summation of his attributes...if he has those attributes he certainly hasn't used them in a Celtic shirt or a ROI one even for that matter. Strength and pace ? Guy has shown none of that here he doesn't use his build or height effectively at all.

TBF, he is fast for a guy his size. His runs into channels seem like those much smaller forwards tend to do.

He has those natural abilities, I'm not saying he'd have used them often. I personally wouldn't have bought him, I think the Aberdeen performance in the cup semi last year was more indicative of where he was at than how he was actually perceived last summer..

“X” is nothing more than engagement farming toxicity these days. Dunno why anyone still bothers with it.
