    I'd sell him tbh.

He is never hitting the heights he did before January consistently.

I'd rather sell land gamble on another winger.

Brownhill would add some much needed experience to that midfield. But do agree, if Hatate goes we will need a different type.

I'd still like to get Lennon Miller in, him and Mulligan would add to the Scottish quota.

rodgers's transfer record is * brutal . you could count on 1 hand the quality players he has signed in both spells

This is a big worry for me, he isn’t known for his stellar transfer business.

Getting the best out of attacking midfielders and wingers as a coach is typically where he has excelled.

I think we are needing to see something from Rodgers like he was going to do in his last season with Edouard and Dembele, with a change of shape.

    Sinclair, Toure, Gamboa, Ajer*, Dembele*
    Ntcham, Hayes, Édouard
Kasper, Sinisalo, Engels, Idah, mcCowan, Bernardo, Jota*, Kuhn.

You'll need your two feet as well as your hands to count them.

Relative levels of success with these guys, but I'd argue most on that list have been a success in their various ways.
Not every signing a club/manager makes is gonna be a level of quality like Dembele or Sinclair success, but plenty signings in his time have done us well.

We also have to remember, a large part of his reasoning to leave the first time, he was refused signings he actually wanted - McGinn and Castagne to name two at the time, both who would have been excellent for us.
So if we can accept he wasn't given the signings he wanted and we all widely accept that the club does actively make signings above the manager (Shved to name but one)
Then who's really to blame for the endless list of * signings?

His first season back, nawrocki, Iwata, Yang, tilio, kwon, Lagerbeilke, Holm, Palma, I think we all accept are not his signings at all and the majority of them are on the back of the club being lazy in the Asian market due to the Ange factor.

He signed Kasper, Kuhn, Philips and Idah arguably can be attributes to Rodgers directly, only Philips is a flop from that list.

Jury's still out on all recent signings. In what universe is Idah at £9.5m a success? The same goes for Engels at £11m. Bernardo was nothing special throughout the season. He was straight-up terrible on Saturday. As of now, all 3 of them are flops in my book.

I believe Ajer was a Deila signing. He just happened to arrive under Rodgers. Hayes was mediocre at best. Gamboa hardly ever played. Sinclair took the league by storm, only for his form to inexplicably collapse half way through his second season. Edouard scored plenty of goals, but he was an expensive signing. It's not like he was a bargain by any means. The biggest success on that list is Dembele. All in all, I'd argue BR's track record is fairly unimpressive.

With our squad as it stands and with the money we can spend then any players we sign should be automatic first eleven starters. We don't need squad players, we don't need projects. If we are actually to improve this team then we need quality that can hit the ground running. Tierney is a good start but we need more. This has been the case for a while now though and it never happens and almost certainly won't happen this year either. What we're likely to get is one 'big' signing(ie over £5M), 2 or 3 in the £2-4M range and maybe 1 or 2 Scottish lads at £2M or under. We'll end up with much the same as this season I reckon. An imbalanced squad that is still good enough to dominate domestically but won't do much damage in Europe. Our recruitment may look good at first glance, especially with the profits we make, but it's lacking cohesion and direction for me.

Would be my ideal window. Best part of £40-50m needed there tho.

Assuming only one or two players go e.g. Kuhn and Hatate bringing in £30-40m between them.

Assuming everyone is happy to stay.

    25-man squad
    (5 clubgrown + 3 homegrown)

in: left winger, centre half, Brownhill, Mulligan, Doohan
out: Bernardo + clear out the deadwood

I'd keep Yang as a stopgap backup till Jota recovers from his ACL injury. I'd keep Taylor. No point losing him for nothing. I'm very low on Idah, but if we sell now we'll likely have to settle for a mediocre fee. Can't imagine Idah being a 3rd string striker either. Hopefully, he'll play better next season.

Be class that. Can't see us going for 3 in central midfield but I think it needs a lot of work in there and wouldn't be against 3, although do hope Hatate stays now. Miller lacks a few things I think we need like power and pace at the minute but he is quality, no doubt about it..

Orjasaeter is the one I want most. Think he'd kill it here..

Then add in sell on for frimpong and bernabei if he moves and the * out the door could end up in profit again!
