Bucket list stuff today. Playing a club match against St. Andrews on the Old Course. First time on it so up against it a bit, but can’t wait to get stuck into it.

Lost 2 n 1 mate. Wedge game let me down because I drove the ball superb but hit so many poor shots in and never gave myself great looks. Good experience but disappointed as I feel like I could have got something out the game.

Good to get it ticked off the list, but I wouldn’t be totally desperate to play it again if I’m honest. If I got asked to play the Old or Dumbarnie I’m going for the latter.

I was the same glad I got to play it, I wouldn't say it's an unbelievable course it's more the history ect, I'm wanting to get dumbarnie played this year, it's down to £150 Scottish rate,

Only 11 tee times up for grabs on one day for the Old Course...

    The headlines sound great though

I'm genuinely no fussed about st andrews anyway.

Prefer courses with forestry and trees, over links.

Aye there's about 180 tee times they are balloting spread across several courses.

I'm no all that fussed about the Old Course either. Everyone I know that's played it, and the boys on here, make it sound underwhelming and more a tick box than anything else. Sure I will play it one day mind.

A * ACL and the inconvenience of a child stopped me from playing :giggle1: but out for the first time after about 14 months off tomorrow. Was down to 13 when I was playing regularly and still have that handicap through that Scottish golf open play but I’ll be nowhere near that the now.

This year I’m just going to try get out a bit more than I have been, maybe play the odd open/scramble and see where I’m at and will be joining my old club for next season.

Played the medal tonight at Leven and finished 1 under. Handicap heading the right way. Should be back down to +1.4 after tonight.

Good shooting mate, I played gullane no3 on Monday one of the best and most enjoyable rounds iv had with a net 63 quite a windy day aswel, IV been cut in my last 2 comps, down to 14.7 from 15.4, I'm playing well enough to get down to maybe 10 would be a really big push to get under that, like yourself going in the right direction

Decent start to the season then mate. Where do you play about? I’ve only played Gullane once, it was so long ago I don’t remember what one it was. I’m desperate to play a few in the North. Portstewart, Portrush and Royal County Down being the three main ones.
