Not for Kyogo and Idah it wasn't or isn't.

You've misread me. Maeda is a rare exception due his insane work rate, the likes of which we won't see again. My point is, his work rate will see him create chances regardless of whether it suits him or not. I'm not imagining the lack of chances created for our strikers and where we agree is that I want more from Idah. However, the system hasn't helped. Rodgers alluded it to himself when he said he doesn't need his striker to score 40 goals a season, that his system means the goals are more spread out.

You can’t just put it down to his work rate why he is getting chances though. The biggest issue why Idah isn’t getting chances is down to Idah in my opinion. He hasn’t shown enough, which we both agree on, so until he does start to show more, I don’t think we can put his lack of chances down to our setup, because he isn’t helping himself.

I just think the system plays its part, which it evidently does.

I think we'll see variations in system next season.. KT back and lot of links with DMs, coupled with being out-muscled by the Huns twice this season. Maybe we'll see more 4-2-3-1 at times, which would probably benefit Idah.

I'd say a professional athlete, and one who hasn't exactly set the heather alight after arriving for a huge fee by our standards, getting drunk to the point of vomiting, is a fairly big issue. Especially in the run up to a cup semi-final.

You'd think he'd be busting a gut to get in the best shape possible. Sadly that doesn't appear to be the case.

As ill-advised as that episode was, Scott Brown wasn't fighting for his future at Celtic at the time.

The game has also evolved a lot in the intervening 10 years. Fitness and conditioning even more critical these days.

Maeda as striker has 15 in 9 up front. Kyogo with any sort of clinical touch this year would have left in January with at least 20 if he took even 1/3 of clear chances he was missing.

But from centre forward this season, Maeda has 15, Idah 14 Kyogo has 12. 41 goals from centre forward, with a fuckload of sitters in there.

We are and have been creating plenty for the main striker, we just aren’t fully focused on doing so, that alone has made space for them getting chances when the focus has been on stopping the wingers.

Maeda up top I will say because just how on fire he’s been, we’ve fed the ball to him a lot more than when either Kyogo or Idah has been up there. Particularly the early ball in behind, Kyogo I sat and watched earlier this season for a good fifteen minutes making the run he’d be through if the pass came and the ball being recycled, about 5 times. He left, Daizen went up top, and he’s getting that ball.

I was talking to my brother about that, and dunno if Daizen being stronger and can both outpace and go shoulder to shoulder with CB’s makes us happier to play the early ball in behind, whereas Kyogo the pass would need to be spot on so he doesn’t have a physical battle. Add onto it Daizen’s form is just a golden touch we just look for him more as well. But its weird. Kyogo left and Engels the next two games assisted Maeda with passes that Kyogo was wanting for two seasons, 20 times a game

Exactly, the guy was stitched up, another stupid media story that doesn’t deserve any publicity. We all do silly things.

He was actually, and being accused even of throwing Deila under the bus not trying. He played with tendinitis in both legs and looked finished, Rodgers came in, and that picture was one thing he brought up when they first met, and stressed the importance of taking care of yourself. And Broony that season was in the best shape of his career, made a point of taking his top off to show the six pack whenever he could :56:

BR was very public about that. He’s been very dismissive about Idah here, and praised him, I’ve not seen the video of him or that tbf but it’s a non story to me.

The amount of players I used to see out when I was younger was very common. The ones you seen consistently out, it was noticeable either their fitness when they played or by their absence on the pitch. Everyone didn’t have a camera and a desire to get social media clout with a video back then though.

Fair *, showing my age as my memory is nowhere near yours!

I still think throwing up in the back of a taxi is a bad look for a professional athlete and not something that should be brushed aside. Hopefully he's had a rocket behind the scenes and screws the nut.

It was something that * me off round that time, some of the accusations against him end of Ronny’s time were wild.

I never knew that was what the video was, agree not a good look that but only a big problem if it’s not a one off.

As a player, his fitness, work rate and shape he keeps himself in isn’t something that I think is concerning and it would be if it was a regular thing, you can see the effect on players that have they issues. Rodgers brushing it off as casual as he did reaffirms that for me. He’d chin him behind the scenes, but if it was regular he wouldn’t brush it off publicly. He’d hammer him and use him as a lesson.

As an aside, is the video from somecunt in the taxi with him? Cause what a *. Infact even just someone spotting it passing by, * move. The urge * have these days to whip out their phones to video and stick on social media would cripple me if I was a player.
