For us they aint but feels like they are overlooked by younger generations, people tend to think they were out after Oasis and part of "britpop" but they were out before that and are more like the stone roses. Quality band

They used to close Archaos old skool night every Thursday with this, still a belter.

 

I've always argued that if Bob Dylan entered a talent show like that * Xfactor then he would probably get boos. Alot of people are brought up to think that singing is what Maria Carey does and if you can't impress them with variable high notes and stuff like that then you aren't really a singer. I guess music is an aquired taste for everyone who enjoys it. He brings alot more to the table though which is less materialist. I really despise Simon Cowell. Not trump or hitler like everyone else, that guy is my nemesis and I hate what he stands for. People with no talent judging people and setting the rules on what talent sounds and looks like. Its heresy

 

I know what he means though. In the grand scheme of things they should have been "bigger"

Bigger though usually means more mainstream to appeal to a broader spectrum. The Charlatans were easily one of my most favourites of the 90s.

Gomez and OCS the same. If there was any justice those 3 should have been much bigger than the likes of Oasis and Blur.

Marketing but, innit?

 

It's when folk say stuff like Hendrix done it better with All Along the Watchtower or The Byrds with Mr Tambourine Man.

It's nonsense. I would go as far as to say no one sings a song better than the artist who wrote it.

You cannot carry over the emotion and thought that was present when the original artist sat down with a guitar, spliff and pen and pad and composed the * thing.

 

This might be my favourite Turin Brakes performance. It's arguable mind you but it's up there.
