Pep’s Barca, especially the 1st season, with Eto’o, Henry, Yaya Toure there… that was all that and more.

Heynckes Bayern 2013 and Pep’s first season at Barca are neck and neck for best I’ve seen though. 3rd is split between the 09 CL final though, that Utd team and that Barca were unreal.

Barca dismissed them really though.

The first 3 years of Tika Taka era wasn’t what it evolved to. It wasn’t possession for possession sake. Though they played from the back, it was very quickly played into the midfield for Xavi, Iniesta, Toure to run riot. There was pace and power in it along with technical play, triangles in the passing but had so much purpose. It evolved into something * boring but.

Either way though, 442 is far away from the most successful. Can add peak Ajax into the 433 as well.

 

That said, I’d be pleased to see 442 tomorrow. I want 4231 like BR’s Invincible Celtic shape. Mostly, I want a different shape though. People have clocked how we play. We go through the motions in it. Give the team a shake and something to think of on how to unlock the other team rather than just going through our normal passages of play. And most importantly, the other team needs to adapt to us doing something they haven’t planned for.

BR’s said as much about teams (Huns in particular) disturbing how we want to play, and has shown zero reaction. It’s frustrating me, he knows, and hasn’t budged. He adapts, he gets the praise as well. It’s pure ego not.

Time to drop some underperformers today, we must see the hunger and aggression from the players and I would be delighted to see Jamesy bhoy get half an hour today and bang in a couple of goals.

I'm fully expecting to see a reaction after that * poor showing last week. Kuhn needs dropping all together and the rest hopefully have had a few home truths told.

 

Really need to see a big improvement on recent performances.

If we can score a goal or 2 and not concede any, then we've got a good chance of winning.

Ew, Scales and Taylor, but if it leads to a better performance then I'll be happy tbh.I would have liked a change in midfield too. Hopefully get a performance out of Idah. Just a better performance and a win plz Celtic.

Almost the team I predicted, with the exception of Yang and Bernardo. Good to see Scales and Taylor back in, hope they both show up well and keep their places for rest of the season.

 

Would've liked to have seen Bernardo start but happy with that.

Is Kenny injured? Would've expected him on the bench over 2 CBs.
