R.I.P My Ruby Roo the Boxer who lost her brave fight against cancer yesterday aged 8 years 11 months and 9 days. She was so full of love and cheek with a heart the size of the Moon. She loved her family deeply and loved all her human and Doggy friends.
I am devastated but I will celebrate her life and I have countless loving memories, I will always be her Dadda:49:

Found a small pinky nail sized lump on cookie right under her skin about 8 months ago. Vet nurse checked twice said it was fine nothing to worry about but last 2 months its grew slightly so got her booked in for a consultation on Thursday, they think it is a cyst, she is still her usual self eatting/drinking/playing etc but best to get it checked i feel

Belgian Malinois cross with dutch shepherd!

she's been an absolute handful but we're reaping the rewards with the work we have put into her! such a cracking dog!
I wouldn't get her breed again though as they do take a lot of hard work

Went to vet. She isn't overly concerned but gave us option of it being tested under microscope the lump so for £240 just going to pay it for peace of mind

I wouldnt worry to much. dad's dog got them all the time. Always we hard lumps. Cost 300 ish to remove 2 bigger ones. Told they won't come back.. came back. Left it and low and behold it popped like Dr spot popper :56: horrible. He lived to grand old age of 16. His brother (my dad other dog) got some aswel. He's now 17 and going strong. Apart from no hearing very well anymore :56:

Used to have a Highly pedigreed Golden Retriever I fell heir to in the 70s.After second marriage and new wife battering kitchen made peace by rescuing a Springer Spaniel he was 10 year old and as it was a bad time at work ,having him with me prevented any of this mental health stuff ,I was driving hundreds of miles a day feeling * off and a lick of the hand when driving home on dark nights, meant he was there any long distance driver should appreciate a bit of that .Had another 3 ,all rescues all the samel. The last one a * was scared of most things including children but one day on the beach about 7 dogs out with a minder but off lead surrounded my grandson within seconds she was between them and him teeth bared.Total defence.I would always recommend one but you have to have space and put in miles .I did about 3 or 5 before work and upto 9 ish at night plus what my wife did at lunchtime mileagewise.I can honestly say I would have died for either of them and nearly did (* got away)but treat them right and they will look after you. I am biased but any dog given decent care attention is the best to their owner. To finish after loopimg lead on hook to go into a shop I was asked what I would do if someone stole the dog the only answer I could think of was TIME.Sure others would agree.

Cookie has her appointment to get biopsy done, lump been there for 12 months and grew slightly but doesn't bother her, felt something was off in vets last week seemed to be all about money rather than my lovely wee dog there was no questions to ask if she had been any different it was just there is a lump and here is the estimate no other questions asked.

Like is she still herself. Peeing. Pooing. Playing, being naughty. Questions I feel your GP would ask if a human went in with a lump

Said to vet how can every lump need a test on it, not every lump a human goes with to GP gets a biopsy done on it, she seemed harassed by this and just wanted us to book the appointment.

Done some digging our practice Glenbrae got sold turn of year to IVC and I called out the vet and nurse about their money centric attitude said to the mrs something has changed with the staff this now confirms it. I feel like we are being extorted for money but my heart wouldn't forgive its self if I ignored it and turned out to be serious for cookie.

But defo a company IVC who own lots of practices who need investigated!
