    this season.

    Whats the point of spending £2.5 million on a center half and no playing him ? especially when your current center half is going through a miserable run of form.

    but i'm well happy about the changes and the current score is testamount to them

    Its been the same story with Caldwell, but now some are sayin hes our best defender? Grow up, this Mick slating * * me off.

    i'm talking about his form hes been looking really shaky for a while now and caldwell has been bailing him out.

    I'm not trying to start an arguement ! I just think that with all the changes it would have ideal to play loovens intead of him today.

    And isn't it good to see brown playing on the right like he did for hibs and playing extremely well.

    Hey dusty so you think macmanus has been different class this season do you ?

    :97: No he hasnt been "a different class", hes a CB and hes been solid, few mistakes and always gives it 100% and thats good enough for me for now.

    Nice to know youd drop everyone who isnt "a different class" though, Smart guy.

    Anyone that actually thinks hes been good since hes been named a captain over 12 months ago needs to take their blindfold off.


    A captain should not be the biggest liability on the park.

    i wrote here last season that Mick wasn't good enough to be anywhere near the 1st team let alone captain it, and was shot down in flames. He's too eratic and lashes out when beaten for pace (which is a regular occurence) and gives away far too many free kicks around the box. He's not bad in the air but thats about it.

    Personally I have a lot of time for McManus as a player. I think he is a good solid defender. But I feel he isn't a dominating physical presence any more then Caldwell is and for me Caldwell being the much better passer of the ball gets the nod ahead of him. But we really need a dominating no nonsense physical center back alongside Caldwell. Balde gave us that type of player when he was at his best and by all accounts Loovens is that type of player and looked it against Falkirk. So I certainly would like to see Loovens get a run alongside Caldwell.
