Will believe that when it happens.
Does no good with speculation - seemingly Hatate has been checked out and wanting gone since august 2023, even though he signed a new deal since then.

However, IF he is for the off - this is something Rodgers needs to address.

He has to be carrying an injury..

So cumbersome and slow on and off the ball yesterday..

Hopefully it isn't because his heads been turned..

If it is then our spine and side needs so much work doing in the summer now. A failure of the last window where we didn't do near enough..

Possibly playing through the pain with a recurring issue with the toe injury

I think he has been for pretty much most of the season. I think they have been managing the toe injury he got early on.

I actually wouldn’t blame him if he was. He has been here 4 seasons now, despite us thinking this wasn’t a great season by his standards he did well in the CL and was getting good reviews about his Bayern performances.

I could see a Palace take him if Mark Guehi goes this summer or the likes of that. Leverkusen possibly when Tah goes.

If he goes to the EPL, he’ll need to be a * of a lot better than he’s been this season. If he isn’t, he’ll struggle massively.

He can go to any club and be injured, the way he's been going lately I'm more concerned with him being fit and continuing playing here. Certainly dipped in form, desire and application lately. Could be carrying an injury, could be his heads been turned, could be just thinking the bare minimum is enough, could be lots of things. But could be's are what ifs in disguise. Poor performances tend to rub off on other members of the team and become habit after a while. We only have a few that will stand up and be counted, who will carry on and dig deep whatever the result but go harder when behind. CCV was once such a guy, you could rely on him putting in a shift and working hard, his name on the team sheet brought a sense of comfort, a level to strive for by fellow defenders. He seems more in his shell now, a shadow of his former self. Something is effecting his play, only he knows what it is, equally it's not just on him.

Celtic play host to Kilmarnock this Saturday (KO: 12.30pm), knowing that victory will take the Hoops even closer to securing a fourth consecutive league title.

It may well transpire that, come the end of the weekend, Brendan Rodgers’ side will be confirmed as Scottish Champions, depending on what happens at Pittodrie when Aberdeen face Rangers.

But regardless of events elsewhere, the Celtic squad know they can only focus on their own job and that’s ensuring a return to winning ways against Kilmarnock.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s game, Cameron Carter-Vickers admitted the defeat to St Johnstone last weekend was disappointing, but they are determined to get all three points tomorrow.

“You never want to lose a game but for the majority of the season we’ve been pretty good,” the defender said, “and we’re in the position now where we can still win two more trophies and that’s our aim.

'From my perspective, of course you want to win the league and wrap it up as soon as possible and that’s what we’ve been trying to do.'

“If you look at the game at the weekend, St Johnstone scored early and we’ve made it difficult for ourselves, but I thought that, after that point, we created more than enough chances to win the game, and you replay that game nine times out of 10 with the chances we do, you end up winning that game.

“Sometimes that’s football – you can’t win every game and not every chance hits the back of the net, but we’ve just got to move on and focus on our next game.”

Celtic’s league campaign kicked off last August with a comprehensive 4-0 win at home to Kilmarnock, while the Hoops also won the corresponding fixture at Rugby Park.

The most recent meeting between the sides came at Celtic Park back in January when Brendan Rodgers’ side won 2-1 in a Scottish Cup tie.

The aim this weekend is to make it a fourth win in a row over Derek McInnes’ side, knowing that events elsewhere will take care of themselves.

“It’s about us going out there tomorrow and performing the way we want to perform and winning the game,” Carter-Vickers said.

“We need to focus on our game tomorrow and then whatever happens after that, happens.

“You want to continue to play well and win matches right up until the end of the season. You want to win every match, and that’s definitely our aim to finish as strong as we can.

'At the beginning of the season, the aim was to win everything domestically and we’ve got one cup in the bag, and we’re still in a position where we can win two more.'

“And then, Champions League-wise, we wanted to do well and show that can compete at that level, and I think we did that, so overall, it’s been good.

“Of course, in an ideal world it would have been lovely to celebrate at home and win the league at home, something we haven’t done the past few seasons, but nothing is scripted in football.

“You’ve got to go out there and win games of football and whether we win it at home or away, at the end of the day it’s the league title and that’s what we’re trying to win.”

Even outside the goal, which was incredible, that was much more like it from the big man.

Wonder strike aside, he looked like his old self today. Won absolutely everything, clever interceptions and driving forward when he could. Might just be a confidence thing, no clue.

Agreed, felt like Rodgers words had a shot in the arm for him. Looked aggressive in every challenge. Great goal but it came off his curly toe haha!
