Nicolas Kühn

Wee * bag. He's packed it in and should be nowhere near our starting eleven

 

Poor form is one thing but first half of the season his pressing and defensive work was brilliant..

That's how I know he's completely chucked it...because he isn't willing to do the bare minimum. He's barely attempting tackles. Backing out of them every week, over and over and being last to balls that are miles in hos favour..

 

I do think we go a bit OTT as a fan base with players going through a slump of form, wanting rid etc. BUT the two things we expect is effort and desire and Kuhn is offering neither of those things. Absolute * who's clearly afraid of being clattered. Probably a reason why he played for a lot of top clubs throughout his youth but never made it. All the talent in the world but an absolute * mentality. If we sold in the summer I really wouldn't be bothered

 

One of the players who needs to get their head out of their * and put in a performance the most.

 

If his head has been turned, as it seems, he’s a * disgrace.

Spent a few years bouncing between academies and getting punted, before having two okay seasons in Austria where he scored a handful of goals. His career was effectively going nowhere fast.

If he’s effectively chucked it after a good 6 months and a hint of interest from elsewhere, then get rid in the summer.

 

As of late the best thing about him is his well kempt beard. Fearful of further injuries and it shows. Even the threat of Yang nicking his spot doesn't appear to put some fear in him in to perform, it's seems that's the only thing he's not scared of.

 

You have probably hit the nail on the head though his competition is Yang.

Now Yang has been trying really hard and scored a few goals (finally) but his actual impact on games at his best is marginally better or the same as Kuhn being well below his best.

I think we have had a similar issue in midfield which has eased a little with Bernardo but the starting 3 are clearly starting regardless of what the others do.

McCowan has looked decent against most teams in the league but doesn’t seem trusted for big games and when he has played in them doesn’t look good enough.

I actually think Kuhn might have something lined up as if he doesn’t then he will be here next year.

 

Im reluctant to pass judgement on any of the players at the moment. Which isnt to excuse his performances - but there is a general malaise running through the whole team from what I can see. Kuhn is one of the worst offenders, but you can pick all but a couple of the squad and say they are well off their best. Why this is the case is a real concern.

Players are most likely to down tools when they are being denied a move - as a way of forcing the clubs hand. This never really happens at Celtic anymore as we are actively looking to move players at a profit. So for Kuhn to down tools for a move hes not likely to be denied would seem strange to me. If hes trying to get a move - then he would be better busting a gut and attracting some serious bids than looking like a potential flash in the pan.

 

Fans need to get off his back.
A fantastic player that just needs a bit of confidence restored.
He was great v Hearts at home too, only a week ago.

He's been superb this season, can't believe folk forget that.
He is fragile personality to be fair, seems down and almost surly even when playing well.
I'm sure Brendan will sort him out.

And anyone here that thinks Yang is better, really need to have feckin word with themselves.

 

Think we need to wait and see.

Could be fatigue. Could be carrying something. Could be confidence.

I don’t think he’s downed tools, it’s a pure myth that players do that unless they have a contract expiring. It wouldn’t benefit him in any way to chuck it for the final 3 months of the season.

Players are constantly under a microscope these days. Yang deserves a start though.

 

I don't know why but i have always had a bad feeling about this dudes attitude. I am quite confident that this is the problem. Unfortunately as there is a great player there.

 

He's always come across a bit cowardly and flaky to me. Can't remember a single good performance from him vs the huns yet; that's always a red flag for me.

Something off about his mentality I think. Not sure if it's an attitude thing or just his character.

 

I think he is like the rest of the team not giving 100 percent

 

When you think back to pre season and his performance against Man City which he carried in to the start of the league and the CL then compare it to what we've seen recently it's like 2 different players

 

My feeling is much the same. Khun should be doing better, similar to comments in the Trusty thread, but there is not many of the players in the last couple of games that were pushing for a 9 out of 10.....Is in complacency, is it a domino effect on a couple of guys loosing form and everyone else loosing focus. No one knows for sure, it * well needs to change, but I doubt some of the sentiments in recent threads progressing to groans at the game, is the answer.

 

How has Nicolas Kuhn been this week? Have you had to speak to him maybe after what happened last week? He's one of the players that was at such a high level at the first half of the season but obviously a difficult moment for him?

Yes, it is but Nicholas has got fantastic ability, he's a good guy and like I said probably one of those players coming in on the back of this is the most games he's ever played, the most intensity he's ever played in, the most goals he's ever scored so it's been a really, really long season for the likes of him and he's been outstanding for us.

My priority is always the players, my priority is always them so I'm always there to support to give them the little jolt when they need it to put the arm around them and protect them when it's needed. Listen, he's done fantastic for us but I want him and the others to finish the season really strong and then they can go into the summer and feel really good about themselves.

 

Gave him a lot of excuses protecting him publicly after an obvious public hammering, without going as far as naming him and leaving enough vagueness to protect him. He’s been ruthless with him with taking him off the pitch, and no doubt behind the scenes he’s not giving him they excuses.

Yang being out, when he was crying out to be dropped for him and Forrest probably not back long enough for a start even for an hour or so, I hope he’s pointing out to him that’s lucky for him, go out and show why you should be playing and not just being the only available. Was only about 2 months ago that was unthinkable
