Whilst there's definitely something in that, its still unacceptable.. the best Celtic sides are relentless every game.. playing for pride and those who turn out to support them.. elite teams never take their foot off the gas..

We're starting games so passively it could cost us the treble, if we don't get our act together..

I believe Rodgers will get them up for the Cup, but we need to be much much better..

I am not a Rodgers hater but I am starting to worry about seeing similar to his previous roles where things start to drop off around the end of his second season.

The last time he was here we similarly took our time getting our second title over the line against a terrible Rangers side. The transfer windows weren’t going so well and then his third summer was a total disaster with a number of want away players. Some leaving others not and their form falling off a cliff.

I just get this nagging feeling we may be heading the same way again. Even January felt a bit like the January of 2018 where Rodgers wasn’t happy with the board/ Lawell at the time. He wasn’t happy that January there too.

I’m not hugely in the anti-Rodgers camp either, but it seems like he’s a guy who’s either tactically inept or too stubborn to change his ways. Now, you would assume that a guy with his experience couldn’t/shouldn’t be tactically inept or naive, but if he’s not, then, he needs to pull his head out and get his * together. There’s no way we should be losing to the Huns a couple of times while numerous teams in the league can beat them relatively easily. The players have a case to answer for that, too, clearly, but Brendan is a bit ‘at sea’ recently and badly needs to up his/our game.

You don’t get the jobs and experience he has had in football without knowing a few things about tactics.

I think there’s a real stubborn side to him however. He’ll know if he changes his ways, he’s effectively caving in and admitting he’s been getting it wrong for weeks. Whilst that would be the right thing to do, he won’t do it. He still firmly believes these players can carry out his patient possession system to a good enough level to swat Scottish football aside.

If he refuses to change and does stick to his guns and philosophy, which we know he will, he has to find another solution and quick.

I personally would be focusing on the shitebags that refuse to pick out runners and use the safe option instead. Fries my brain that *. A patient approach like we have only works if you play that killer ball at the right time. It’s something O’Riley, for example, was brilliant at. Engels not so much. With Rodgers’ system you’re trying to catch the opposition out with your movement in the final third. Too many players, however, choose the 5 yard sideways or backwards pass instead of the through ball to the advancing attacker.

He’s got a massive issue with motivation. People think he’s the best possible option for us as manager but I really don’t think he is, there are glaring holes in his management style when it comes to times like this.

Yeah think we'll see a completely different performance in semi. Good that manager has called it out a couple of weeks in advance

You had the chance to win today to set up winning the title infront of 60k fans next week for the first time since 2018 that should have been more than enough motivation for the players. I thought when we went to 1 game a week we would be well rested and kick up a gear its been the opposite!!!!

Yeah definitely thought that would have been enough motivation but was clearly out weighed by fact we have * all competition and where playing bottom of the league so turned up in 2nd gear again.

    * for the fans that it won't happen next week now. Players only have themselves to blame for missing out on that experience and now there's likely scenario of winning it without playing, Winning any league is always a great achievement but id reckon the worst way to win it would be by ur closest challengers losing while you are out walking the dug.

100% spot on with that qoute although to do it sitting in the studio of a company who played a massive role in running modern football makes it slightly ironic.

Outwith Celtic and Scotland games i barely watch any football anymore, especially at the so called top level, i find epl and champions league games boring as *.

Should have went with Moyes when he was available. Now going to cost a fortune to get him.

I think there's issues with some players behind the scenes.

Been defensive of him but it is a bit weird how passive we have been lately.

Still think shouts of sacking him and looking elsewhere are mental though.

The important thing to note is that any criticisms of Rodgers now have to be levied with "i dont hate Rodgers/ im not a Rodgers hater/ ive always backed him etc etc.

I will say however, bad days at the office happen. Its football.

What matters is how is he gonna change it?

I said it before he returned, and others are saying now, this looks like the beginning of the all too familiar pattern with Rodgers.

But calls for Moyes? * no.

If its a choice between Moyes' dull as dishwater football or Rodgers' bipolar performances its Rodgers every day of the week. Moyes would literally empty CP.

Feels a lot like the end of the 06/07 season. Limping to the finish line.

The cracks weren't resolved in 07/08 but somehow we won that league

Can only hope next season isn't like 08/09 one where it finally bit us in the *

07/08 was won because Rangers OldCo ran out of steam with the UEFA Cup run

08/09 was firmly on Liewell - won the New Year OF game to go 7 clear and he thought that was enough buffer and wouldn't pay the spoonburners what they wanted for Fletcher. McDonald and Samaras form slipped, goals dried up. Let them in at the death. Well done Pete. Made up for it at least by hiring Mowbray that summer mind....

We need to get the head screwed back on for the Scottish Cup. Get the treble won, the league will be over in a week or two, and then freshen things up in the summer. I’ve always been a fan of Hatate, but he has reached his shelf life here and should be away in the summer. I’d sell Kuhn too. That should be our annual big sale/s as we will still get good money for both. Taylor will be away too.

We are still lacking power throughout the team and that needs rectified in the summer. A full pre-season here for Jota and Engels will benefit both greatly in my opinion, and I expect both them to have big seasons next campaign. Tierney coming back will give the squad a lift also, and we now have a natural successor to the armband with him.

I’ve been one of Rodgers biggest fans on here, and will continue to defend him as we are in a great position. If we somehow manage to not win a treble however, then you’ll hear me.

A lot of the perspectives are dictated by the competition or lack of comoetition i feel. Its not wrong to say rodgers has steered us on course for another treble. But looking at the perfomances over a number of months now i dont see them as being markedly better than the start of last season when he was under pressure. The difference is rangers had a run of consistency then which had far more questions being asked. This year they have been abject (still beat us home and away) so the performance levels havent hit the same scrutiny.

The team feels off at the moment and trending in the wrong direction. We are fortunate that the rest of the league has been poor enough not to take advantage.

Look at 2017/18 after losing the unbeaten run 4-0 at Tynecastle. Drew 0-0 home with zombies, st Johnstone, Dundee, Killie and lost 0-1 at home to Dons. Lost 1-0 at Killie and 2-1 at Hibs. But it was all ok because we won the treble.

You could tell teams had learned how to stop us.that was with Eddy Moussa and Griffiths, paddy, Forrest, musonda, rogic, Sinclair, Armstrong, calmac and we were failing to win and score against SPFL dross.

By August 18 we were knocked out the champions league in qualifiers as we couldn't strengthen in time.

Yesterday Trusty was jogging for 75/25 balls, losing it. Then trying to jump out of the way of the cross/pass rather than block it to avoid conceding a corner. That is the basics of defending being thrown out the window to attempt to look casual and it didn't matter If they get the ball in as we're so good we will turn it into a counter attack.

Last season Kyogo and O'Reilly pulled us out of a hole and they're both off rotting on a bench.

We have zero set pieces strategy at either end. We're still weak with crosses in general but don't seem to think this needs addressing.

Rodgers is all smiles when it's working but when his gameplay is rumbled he is too arrogant to change and I feel he tries to send a message to the board with certain subs in games making it look like were thread bare and haven't spent money.

His managerial history shows that teams go on the decline at a certain point. He gets figured out but refuses to adapt.

I remember O'Neill losing 5 from 5 trophies available to McLeish and moving from 3-5-2 to 4-4-2 to protect us from their diagonal ball to lovenkrands. Strachan changed from 4-4-2 to 4-5-1 on occasion when the occasion called for it. I don't see Rodgers allowing himself to change as it will damage the ego.

The centre halves for a start..

I don't know much of the ball they have during a game in space, where you can clearly see the diagonal switch is on or one over the top for Maeda....then foot goes on the ball and back or to the other centre half it goes..

    Torture..
