That's one of our biggest problems..

We rely heavily on his creativity and hes been * everyone off for quite a while..

 

Hes become a real luxury player in Rodgers system. Produces moments of quality but have to endure too much wastefulness now to get to it.

 

Think best for everyone he goes at the end of the season

 

He’s a waster

Absolutely sick of the sight of him.

Nowhere near as good technically as people make out, even when he’s “on it” which is about once every 8 games.

Constantly over hits and under hits simple 10 yard passes, offers zilch defensively, and makes idiotic decisions on the ball every week under the guise of creativity.

Hope he goes at the end of the season.

Few final passes and a couple of finishes were dreadful which is why this performance stood out . His Build up from deep and general play was pretty good , kept the ball moving and threaded some nice balls through the lines second half. Overhit a few last balls which is infuriating but had a fee good moments aswell, definitely seemed to have more touches than other CMs. His fitness has definitely improved. Had an off day but he has been really good since the Ibrox game generally.
Offers far more than Engels, even today. Far more of a threat creatively .

 

He's too much of a luxury player for me now. One good game every few months with a fair amount of awful ones in between. I'd rather just have someone be a 6 or 7/10 most weeks than waiting on him to have one of his good performances.

 

If we're to punt him this summer we need to find someone in a similar mould to replace him, preferably someone with a stronger mindset who adds something in the midfield even when not hitting top form.

Still think we can't afford to drop him as no one else can create like he does.

 

Create what though? Havoc by losing the ball?

I have said it before, he has all the skill in the world, but when he’s not on it he is a man down.

One good game in every eight is no use to us.

He drives me insane.

 

Has been decent for us overall but his time is up.
