Both of my posts were more about the make up of the crowd and club memberships. It is so overwhelmingly white and male.

What a round by Xander, superb golf especially on that back 9. Feel bad for Rose, he had at least 4 putts that narrowly missed.

Another very enjoyable tournament. Golf is definitely taking over football as my favourite sport these days. Footie is becoming so systematic for my liking now. Celtic aside I’m not fussed about watching any of it these days.

Not a huge fan of schauffele but fair play that was some final round and he deserved it over the four days. When conditions were tough he was solid then yesterday when they were favourable he was ruthless as *.

He could easily be sitting on 5+ majors by now and struggle to see how he won’t be the next to do a career grand slam.

Class from Schauffele yesterday. I thought him and Scheffler were the danger men, but fancied Scheffler. Been a great few months for Xander. Went from the nearly man who just couldn’t get it done to winning two majors.

What a lotta *, McElroy seems to be happy supporting another form of golf when it’s his own pockets getting lined eh? Funny that

Maverick McNealy tearing up the genesis here.

Was 40 odds this morning, 9 birdies today. Wild.

Digression from the chat, but Charley Hull is getting a bit annoying with her "I'm so edgy" attitude. I like her but it's coming across too try hard now to be a bit different.

Recent clip about her goals and dissing golf fitness, even though she has done plenty golf-focused gym work in her time.

Who's everyone fancying for the masters

I've money on Straka 80/1, lowry 40s, speith 28s. Then a few longer shots such as Knapp, Conners etc.

I don't think scheffler will do it this year but it'd be stupid I suppose to completely count him out.

    Aberg (12s)
    Schauffele (16s)

And outsiders each way to place for some dough:

    Im (60)
    N.Hojgaard (125)
    An (150)

Can't wait either way! Wouldn't mind seeing McIlroy win it, but would equally find it funny if he didn't. Love him for Europe but cannot take to him these days.

Min Woo Lee. Thought he came across as a proper * in Full Swing. Just can't take to the guy.

His winning putt last night from 8 inches and he pretends to do aim point for * and giggles. * off. Too edgy for me that bantz.

    Well done anyway

Edit - just seen his interview giving it "let me cook" too. Nope.

She's from my neck of the woods. Played at my track when she was a junior and when you meet her she is fairly polite and down to earth to be fair to her (I have literally only briefly met her twice though).

Got a wee wad each way on Bob MacIntyre in the Masters, I really think he will have a very good tournament and will win a Major at some point in his career, most likely a Open. My other pick for the Masters is Rory, my * he is overdue a Major win and his 5th will come almost certainly this season. I have him to win the Masters in a Sports accumulator which has half a chance.

It just shows you how good Scheffler is, that even playing nowhere near his level, he can still get himself into contention and nearly gets in a play-off. Still wouldn’t bet him at 9/2 for the Masters, because there is still a fragility with his putting, but equally I wouldn’t be surprised if he does win it.

Agree regarding Min Woo Lee. Boys a wee but much. His two putt at the last to get over the line was impressive though. Showed a lot of bottle with that.

Paul Azinger who missed the cut, he cited a stomach so full of rhubarb tarts for his poor performance.

We all know who you backed and have backed ever since even at 5,000/1 cool bhoy :56:
