Actual Best and most humble player the world has ever seen. I admire him greatly what an absolute brilliant man I will stop but not because i'm running out of superlatives

Had no doubt that he'd excel in that position. Kyogo leaving made alot of us nervous but I think the whole dynamics have changed upfront, Meada has more freedom to switch things up, his workrate is also a bonus wherever he plays. I notice that he's been dropping deep sometimes to offer support but then instantly back to provide an attacking option. He just pops up and does everything right when it mattered today, showed great control.

He has the potential to hit 50 goals next season if he plays through the middle for the full season. Most games he scores 1 or 2 and is unfortunate not to get 3 or 4. His movement , pace and finishing guarantee it. Build the attack around him . Goals plus work rate , pace and pressing. Impossible to replace and one you would abandon the business model for.

His age and family situation keeps me feeling very optimistic but I cant guarantee it of course and am guessing. I think in terms of our business model the board should make exceptions for a phenomenon like him and being able to keep him here and focused on achieving the highest level of success possible is paramount. I'll be chuffed if he signs a contract soon.

It will be the player/agent that will make the decision ultimately. We will have to be very ambitious (generous ) with our contract offer to get him to stay imo, we generally can't compete with EPL wages but hopefully we can structure a deal to be competitive in this instance . He is at that age where his next contract will be the most lucrative of his career, and he will want to set himself and his family up .

He's got a career in MI5 after fitbaw. You couldn't get more than 5 words out of that * even under torture. Can't recall a more stoic player we've had.

Love him btw and 100% needs a new contract.

He’s genuinely our best player since Larsson for me. Give the guy a blank cheque and offer him whatever the * he wants in wages. There’s absolutely no way we could ever replace him, not just goals but everything he brings. Genuinely cannot believe we have a player like him at the club. He’d have his pick of the elite, too if the tree clubs if he wanted to go.

Also for what it’s worth, he’s doing everything Kyogo wasn’t doing.

Before Rodgers got a hold of him, he wouldn’t have been able to play the main man in the middle for us, he was too rushed he was going 100%, 100% of the time. And that itself was insane. BR has taught him control, to hold it to time going 100% at the right moments, and not be rushed.

Because of that, his link up play, dropping deep back to a defenders, hold it up bounce off others and spin behind, that’s something I don’t think he could have done before Rodgers.

But a major, major thing for me, Jota returning when Kyogo left. Maeda was very much in form, good form, not this form though. And Kuhns form, Jota being back, Idah picked up and was scoring. It was where does Maeda go? And I think it looks like he’s been aware of that, and he’s said * that, it’s Maeda and whoever else. And everything he does just now is golden.

It’s not sustainable form, 8 games in the middle, 14 goals, 2 assists. But his approach to the game, when that form levels out, I think it’s still going to be a very high level he sustains.

BR deserves a lot of credit, but Maeda man, his timing for exploding into action defending from the front or attacking leading the line. It’s insane

Nah * it mate, come and join me in the I told you so camp. I was quick to defend him when he got slagged for booting it into row Z from the wing with his crosses, saying he's not a winger and is playing out of position.

Since that friendly in Yokohama I've wanted Rodgers to try him up front again and boom, he's smashed it. Wasn't too worried about Kyogo going when I realised Maeda would get his chance there.

He has definitely improved his final ball and been more productive which is in large part down to Rodgers tbf. Still never a natural winger though in a million years.

Not knocking that at all, but even since he’s went in the middle into overdrive he’s been moved to the wing and been so effective. His goal against the Huns last game to get us back in it, was him moved to the left.

*, I can remember saying and I can’t remember who it was against he was on the right, he’s had one game on the right. I said to my brother weird I don’t think he’s as good on the right and I don’t know why. 1 game 2 goals from the right.

He just needs on the pitch at the moment. Him up front is now his position 100%, he’s been unreal up top. But he’s kicked on to another level in general, and I think before Rodgers, what he’s doing up top isn’t what he’d do through the middle after BR’s been coaching him.

I think he’s taught him how to control his explosiveness. Before he was a guy that would never stop, he does now, when it’s a good time to. Then he suddenly is. And he’s been able to show his technique because of it, he rushed on the ball before as well.

He reads the game so * well and chooses moments now. At a different level

Before he moved up top this season, I don’t even think it’s something anyone would question at all. He’s went to a different level, I want him through the middle he suits it and thrives there, but he just needs to be on the pitch. Anywhere. If we played him Rogic style 10? He’d be unreal. He was unreal off the left. One game on the right, and him on the right anytime previous has been largely *. It’s why Jota was on the right under Ange.

He scored two that 1 game there. Right now, he will thrive anywhere.

For me, yes definitely through the middle is where he should be, it’s so dangerous. But I wouldn’t pigeonhole him there either, him going on the wing second half against the scum 2 down is a big reason for making it a game.

Would have been more of one if we used his strengths up top, but regardless, that was what happened

He is a better striker than Kyogo for me. Just get him signed up long term and give him whatever he wants. No transfer fee would be enough to replace him.

Could be a blessing we missed out on that other striker tbh. Forced us to finally play him upfront and realised he scores more than Ronaldo :56:
