Yes, the weekend infuriated me and much as it did irritate me. Do I need any sharp objects taken off me? Behave. I hate the fact that our dearest rivals make me need to hate. I recognise that it's my pure dislike of them that probably fuels my frustration over the result. But singling out the manager and basically blaming him for a disastrous result is a tad extreme. It was him and the team that have got us to where we are in the league, one trophy already in cabinet, a semi-final, took us further in the Champions League than many of us would have dared dream. But against the filth he's become a bad manager?
We were found wanting in many areas during the game, collectively we were poor at times. Silly mistakes were punished in the harshest way. Many decisions were ignored, players hid or bottled it, the list could continue. We were simply out worked, out fought and an unfortunate calamity in the dying seconds made us pay. How we forget the second half fight back to level things up after a disastrous first 45 mins. Should we have lost? NO! Should we ever lose to 'them' * NO!
I was furious, my despair heightened by their behaviour and my resentment of the Muppet Manager and his backward backroom staff.

Hind sight is a wonderful thing, if we started better, if we took our chances, if the Ref had booked Dire-mondo earlier, if, if, if. The biggest if will always be 'if they had just stayed dead'. When we look at the trophy count come the end of the season and none of the 'ifs' will matter a jot. And that is thanks to Brendan Rogers, our manager.

No-one can deny Rodgers has done a great job with us however, no-one can deny that he's lost the tactical battle with the huns managers in our last three games which is deeply troubling considering one of them is a wee ned who's (failed) managerial career incude clubs like Alloa. He really has to admit to himself that he has got it horribly wrong against the huns as, if he doesn't, then next season could be more difficult than it has to be .

Need to make your peace with it mate. He's here, he has another 12months to go and has improved us in Europe, whilst securing trophies. He needs backed again to take this club forward still. There's work to be done.

Granted, he needs a major boot up the * for the way the huns game have gone recently. The next one is massive for him.

But we're successful and he plays a major part in that weather any of us like it. Enjoy him and the success whilst he's here.

Needs to get us playing better against those *.
Some of it's on the players for * the bed, but this possession at all costs stuff needs to stop or at least be relaxed. It gives other teams too much time to get back into shape and sometimes causes us to put ourselves under unnecessary pressure.
He talks about pace and power constantly too, but I'm still yet to really see it in this team tbh. Maybe that's not on him and he's identified targets and the board haven't delivered.

Ultimately I dont think our players, particular in defence, are good enough on the ball to play the his system when met how Rangers are countering it.

Our patterns are pretty well established, so our players know what they are looking for when on the ball. But that also makes them predictable. Especially if not moving the ball quickly and giving the opposition time to set. Most often a variation of Schmeichel=>AJ=>(Kuhn who nearly always looks to cut inside) while AJ runs an overlap.
Schmiechel=>CCV=>McGregor who looks to lay the ball off. Etc

Rangers just sit on and press the guys they know our defenders are looking to pass to and our guys either struggle to get the ball moving forward or force a pass thats never on which results in being turned over in a dangerous area.

A defender who (along with being an absolute physical beast) can step out and break the press confidently and hit nice fast accurate 20yrs passes, that's what I feel we need... not too much to ask fer.... Virgil Van Dijk, someone like him. :50:

I also think it would be quite easy to turn the table on Rangers as we know exactly how they are going to set up. Use McGregor or Kuhn coming deep as a decoy and then launch one in behind for Maeda to chase. Ive no doubt it would cause the huns panic in the ranks and they would start second guessing everything
