Good point, i have often thought if we are in the trenches he isnt the type to drag us to a win.

Feels like he needs tge team to be playing well for him to play well.

I dunno I think it's picked up of late. We had a rough patch in the depths of winter but that happens often.

I'm raging after today and questions need asked surrounding our Derby performances but I'll take this as a stale season every year.

I think it’s we are turning up when we want to. Against Hibs we thought we were going to roll through them, much like Aberdeen earlier in the season, and we were forced to respond shortly after to stamp our authority back down.

I think we’ve done it with the huns too, but I feel like the gap at the top makes them feel like the game isn’t critical and the league is sewn up.

Sorry I don’t think the full season has been stale, infact the first half of the season was arguably the strongest we have been (debatable with Ange season 2) for a long time and the football was good to watch.

However, since just before the league cup final we have had a number of flat performances, where we have got the job done but not quite hit the heights we were early season. Maeda’s form is largely the exception to this as he has been brilliant during that period. Interestingly, Kuhn aside the attacking players haven’t dropped off as much as the defensive side who have started coughing up chances at an alarming rate.

It almost seems like since those games in between Xmas and New Year where we took our lead in the league from around 10 points to 15 and subsequently any time we have had a blip they have out done us.

Combine that with them going out the Scottish us realistically meeting our European expectations and there just feels like a drop off in performances and sharpness, as if we are missing an edge. However, when you actually look across football we aren’t the only ones Bayern, near flawless domestically for so long have been dropping a lot of points and Liverpool on for a quadruple now just have a league to see out. I think the new scheduling to accommodate the CL has also played a part in this too.

The game we really had to win against Hibs, despite the narrow scoreline to late in the game was the most controlled performances we have had for a while domestically, where we gave up almost nothing.

As mentioned above I don’t think our business in January has helped that, we moved players on have had a couple of injuries to Forrest and Bernardo, also missed Kuhn and Maeda for a game of two in this run and the squad looks threadbare. Especially when you consider Rodgers doesn’t seem to trust a good few of them.

I also agree come the end of the season and we get the league finished off and hopefully add the Scottish, the season overall cannot be seen as anything other than a success and this spell will largely be forgotten as long as we sort out what we need to in the summer and kick on.

When you think about it ever since we went out the CL, possibly before when we drew Bayern there has been chat of that qualifier in August, who we could get and needing to be ready for it.

He did an interview the other day in Germany talking about an international call up etc.

It's quite clear the form earlier on has gone to his heid a bit and scoring over in Munich.

Rodgers needs to get a handle on him and get his focus back as it seems off.

His attitude has normally been great and defensively always puts in a shift. Yesterday was atrocious.

If someone comes in for him in the summer I would be very tempted to take it. The first half of the season he was brilliant but when you look across his career, he has literally had half a good season at Rapid Vienna and half a good season at us and he is 25.

He has elite level pace and good close control but his end product has fell off a cliff recently. I feel he is one of those players l am not confident he gets back to his earlier this season level.

I'd sell him start of the summer. Obviously doesn't wanna stay here. He's downed tools since Jota came back. Not as good as he thinks he is.

Should face a prolonged spell on the bench. Such a spineless, toothless showing for someone with so much ability. Totally missing. An empty shirt.

Complete lack of attacking intent, went back to the sore tooth Kuhn who refused to accept any creative responsibility whatsoever.

Heads been turned, wouldn't be surprised if a deal has been done behind the scenes.
