In regards to overall "progression" as a club in all competitions, this season has been the best in over a decade despite the blips against them.

I was pumped for the game mate and absolutely gutted to lose it. Every Derby counts for something, but what really matters is cups and league titles and we continue to sweep the board on that front.

There’s a mentality issue at Rangers. They can’t beat us or go on a winning run when the chips are down. When the pressure is off, they play well and have beaten us 3 times now in the past 12-18 months or so.

There’s a mentality issue at Celtic. When we have things wrapped up we cant perform at are usual levels and allow them to get these wins over us.

I know which mentality issue I’d rather be dealing with. I want them pumped every time but watching them celebrate like they’ve won the league after beating us in dead rubber derbies and 3-3 draws just illustrates the difference in mentality at the two clubs.

There's no airy fairy excuses that can be used.

Yes, we're definitely on for the treble - and as I've said, we've put OURSELVES in to that position.

That does not in any way shape or form gloss over the fact that they've outdone us over the last two games now - at the shitpit and at our own stadium.

    Disgraceful.

He literally said that a 5 year old would know how to counter it.

I’m curious to know if he can actually suggest a counter or if it’s just hyperbole like 90% of the posts in here since full time.

Common denominator for me,might be the wrong thread, who knows. Is the lack of Callum mcgregor. We simply cannot rely on one guy to be the backbone of the team. A good manager would certainly have a back up plan years in advance of him having to retire. Who’s going to take the reins if McGregor were to retire tomorrow? Scary thought

So small time suggesting the game doesn’t matter. Look at their celebrations and tell me that.

That’s also 3 games now they’ve been the better team.

It is disgraceful but we’re also 13 points clear in the league. Perspective is needed and a bit of faith in the manager to get it right for the next one.

It does, because we want to progress in Europe. Which we have.

Agreed but they are the only team we need to beat each season is my point. If rodgers doesnt dissect theses games to find a way to beat an awful hun team then hes gone.HH

There's perspective, and there's glossing over pish.

It’s small time to suggest it truly matters just as much as the first Derby of the season. Every game against them matters.. that goes without saying. But there’s a massive difference between winning a derby that can affect the outcome of a title race and winning a derby that does * all but win you some bragging rights.

These * celebrated beating St Johnstone like they’d won the World Cup earlier this season. They celebrated a 3-3 last year like they’d won the league. The celebrated today like they’d finally become top dogs in Scotland again.

When’s the last time you saw them celebrating in May? 14 years ago or something? I could give two * about them celebrating as if it’s some barometer of what a game means.

I think the gap is minimal, they've shown they can play against teams that open up, in Europe and against us.

That 3-0 win at the start of the season is looking more and more like an anomaly, I think the one they had at Ibrox is too, I'd imagine most games against them will be closer next season, albeit we have no clue who will manage them.

Where they struggle is against the low block, the minute teams like St Mirren, Motherwell and Dundee/Dundee United park the bus they lose all momentum, I think if we done that at Ibrox we'd win comfortably, but I don't think Rodgers (or even our fans) would ever accept it.

I think we're the opposite, we're excellent against teams that sit back and we can dominate, but if a team presses us we struggle. Hearts done it last season twice and got two wins due to it.

I was very impressed with how Rodgers handled the Atalanta game after Dortmund pumped us, so I still think he can adjust, but if he loses at Ibrox he loses a lot of goodwill he's built up, and that's even if we win a treble. Sounds mental saying that but it's the truth.

I’m not glossing over anything. It’s poor and needs addressed. All I truly care about is winning league titles and trophies though and I’ve every faith we will continue to do so as long as Brendan Rodgers is at Celtic, as he has proven time and again.

    It's exactly what you're doing.

We know fine well we're on for a domestic treble - that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the conversation at hand when discussing being pumped rotten the last game at Ibrox, and today being outfought and outdone by a rag tag bunch of morons with a failed Clyde manager at the helm...

All it will take is a manager coming in and working out how to beat St mirren.

It isn't rocket science. They can't be laughably bad if they're last 8 of a European competition.

Some fans might not like it but it's true.

We need to have another big summer.
