Official TC Match Thread: Motherwell Vs. Celtic

Crosas and Maloney were cracking first half, then disappeared in the 2nd.

 

Well I got that wrong and we were quite good.. the first half was excellent, but * was the second half all about. At least we held out, but we should never have conceded two soft goals like that, we almost fell apart out there.. but at least we held on and bring on the Aalborg..

 

Was brilliant watching brown get stuck in when the going got tough the guy didn't stop.

 

I'd of taken that result before the game. Brown and Samaras both played well and it was a big improvement having Naylor back at LB.

Wilson had another shocker but most players gave up at half time and the strikers need to start passing the ball better.

 

You cant blame them. It was due to our ineptness at the back. All our midfielders had to track back and save our *.

Especially Brown and Robson who really saved us from a humiliation in the 2nd half.

 

I can blame them.

 

celtic were amazing today midfeild were brilliant as were the forwards all 3 amoungest the goals brilliant to see,but the defence are shocking all over the place ,we had scares in first half but we dont seem to heed the warnings and lost two goas as soon as the second half started,,we were lucky not to lose a third soon after when a point blank header was saved or caught by boruc


after that there was still chances at both ends with samaras being the most outstanding player for celtic,the guys looks so much better with maloney as his partner up front,

verdict,,as the saying goes a game of two halfs,,jeckell and hyde celtic defence have got to improve big time or we can kiss everything goodbye

Was sexy football in the first half then we came out and went mental defence is * shocking, and its making Artur look worse i think

2nd half - horrible

some great play for the goals mc manus should be dropped

 

Good win and overall good performance. That foruth goal was sensational. Though Brown, Samaras, and Caldwell were great.

 

Where do i start !!

Fantastic performance, effort, skill, commitment and heart shown in the first half.

We were 4-0 up but should really have been 7 nil ahead.

First 10 minutes of second half, could have scored another 2 goals easily.

The next 25 minutes were abysmal.
Losing two goals in less than 4 minutes

1st Motherwell goal (Caldwell beaten to a header by a midget Lasley ??
2nd Motherwell goal (McManus ball watching and then a poor tackle/block attempt, i think McManus actually put the bal in the net)

Motherwell could well have had another 2 orthree goals before we came back into game last 10- minutes when they tired

BTW, i don't go in for the "We took our foot of the pedal" stuff.

I'm happy with the 3 points, and very happy with the first 55 minutes of our play.

But our defence is a calamity.

McManus needs to be dropped ASAP

BTW, Crosas very impressive until tiring in second half.
Same for Skippy.
Same for Maloney
Samaras played really well.

 

We haven't lost our heads after the OF loss, and this is the result. Crosas needs to become a regular XI member.
