Can still be a deadline panic and have turned out alright.

Although last night was his worse performance so far.
Overall he's been solid.

Just don't see us affording his wage on top of KT.

If he was the main LB with a younger lad on cheaper wages - maybe.
But Jeff and KT would be combined 75-80k which is madness for one position like that.

Be as well signing a guy on 60-70k and have that quality.

Be happy to keep him.

 

All comes down to how they see the money... Could easily give him £2-3M in sign-on fee and drop his wages over the contract since he's free, but don't see our board gambling like that.

Can't see us giving both high wages, as that would hamstring us on the FFP perspective for years.

Gut feeling is he'll go to another English team, who won't even flinch at the wages

 

Needs to score a few more, but this is a belter.

Big fan of GT as yous know but it's clear now big Jeff is far more solid. What a position we'll be in at LB if we manage to bag him along with KT.

 

Such an upgrade on Taylor.

 

I’m currently debating whether him at LB with KT & CCV at CB is a stronger back 4 than CCV & Trusty at CB with KT at LB?! That aside, we have to make every effort to keep him.

 

Thought he was absolutely solid down the left for us. So calm and assured.

 

Has a lot to offer and we'd be stupid not to keep him. I like his physicality a lot and the fact that he has played in midfield could be a bonus for us going forward.

 

He's a great addition and I hope we keep him, his versatility is very important. Our defence is almost impregnable now with him there.
And you wonder what's going through Taylor's head now.
Shall I stay or shall I go.?
Maybe hedging his bets to see if Schlupp stays on and also to see how Tierney gets on with his injury record.

 

Great player no nervousness about him when on the ball. Has a shot in him also. Sign him and punt taylor

His aerial prowess alone puts him head and shoulders above GT. Hope we can keep a hold of him next season. Him and KT takes us to another level.

 

Both Brendan and Schlupp have said there was interest in him last summer.

Questions need to be asked why we thought it was a better move to loan an average Barcelona reserve we had no chance of keeping over him.
