He looks physically and mentally exhausted and no wonder was sensational until new year still a class act will benefit from going to 1 game a week!

    This was always gonna happen.

He was carrying us for the first half of the season creativity wise.

    Needs a rest.

Needs a rest, also feel like he needs an assist from Jota. He's been mainman for six months and probably feels a bit shaken by Jota's arrival and like he needs to compete, once they start assisting eachother and learning eachothers strengths they'll be class together

The other thing that needs to be remembered is this will comfortably be the most games of football he has played in one season and we still have a few months to go.

He only really established himself last season as a senior footballer playing in a top league. Before that he had bounced around academies and B sides.

Yep which is why he should be staying at least another season.

Still a lot of things to work on.

Where I agree for his development, from his point of view this might be the season of his life and this is his chance of a move to a big league.

I think if one of the rumoured clubs come in for him he will be off. He has elite level pace and a good football brain. It’s just he os struggling physically just now.

Aye he looks shattered, wouldn't go as far to say he's been pish or even bad, just ineffective.

Should be rested for the weekend.

Agreed he needs a rest. Not been playing well but still capable of popping up with a quality goal or assist.

It;s been a long haul, and for a while there, we were seriously very dependant upon him, like we were with Rogic at times when the rest of the team was not firing. But essentially 3 straight months of playing every 3 days has perhaps caught up with him, and with Yang on a bit of a run atm plus having no midweek game next week, wouldn't be a bad shout to have a couple of day off, before focusing on the Scottish Cup game v Hibs.

His performances taking a downturn is probably better for us in the long term tbh.

If he kept up his early season form he'd 100% be gone in the summer, with this he could be convinced to stay another season and continue improving, he'd still be in his prime at the end of next season.

Aye needs a rest. Not looking as electric as before. Actually looking quite predictable in his play.

Definitely in need of a rest. Don’t even bring him off the bench on the weekend if we don’t need him. Give him a few days off after the game, home to see family, freshen him up to finish the season sharp.

Think every player, bar Daizen, needs this week off that we now have. Been a very busy few months for them and a few tough games in amongst it all.

Still quality but has been a lot more hesitant and ineffective last few games.
He has the skill and pace to burn but not using it.

Brendan needs to give him another wee nudge, get his confidence back.
Huns game would be a nice game to get back on point.

Grand old team to play for
I'm wondering if he really struggles with poor winter pitches. Was poor when he came in last winter, then he picked end of March and won 3 MoTM in a row. Was inconsistent at the end of the season, but had some good games.

He had that goal chopped off Vs Bayern on the best pitch we've played on for months.

Probably a number of factors involved in his drop in form, but I think the pitches might be on of them.

He's just not trusting himself to take it down the outside. Keeps waiting for an AJ overlap or a wee ball into the inside right channel. Getting too predictable along with the team as a whole.
