Kvistgaarden and Orjasaeter would've taken us up a level last night. Potentially could've been the difference.

I'd be buying them ASAP and then get another centre mid.

I expect Kuhn and Hatate to be away in the summer. Potentially Maeda but I'd fight tooth and nail to keep.

The big fella is back playing and has a goal and an assist in tonight’s game, as mentioned above if he proves his fitness to the end of the season he would be worth a punt.

I’d love this guy for the right wing he looks perfect for us. Maybe out our range now but we did get linked before.

    What about Leander Dendoncker?

Saw he was on loan to Anderlecht. Might bring a bit of balance to the midfield.

Why the left wing? We’ve enough competition there as it is. It’s on the right where we’re lacking an alternative to Kühn, plus you yourself say his main position is RW. He’s left-footed, which under a Rodgers system means he’s a RW. BR almost always favours opposite-footed wingers.

I made a mistake on the post when I said left wing, I meant right wing.

Don’t know if they would sell but came across this prospect David Ozoh from Crystal Palace who is on loan at Derby, he looks like he will develop into a very good DM/CM 6.3” Strong, athletic and in the video he tackles very well and has a good bit of skill.

A striker worth keeping an eye on in the J League is Akito Suzuki, who is only 21 and has 3 in 3 this season and scored 10 goals in the league last season.

He isn’t the tallest around 5’9 -5’10 but he is quite robust for only being 21. His positional sense and movement in the final third is very good for someone so young and scores a lot of his goals in the box through being opportunistic and anticipating. However, he also has a rocket of a shot on him and has scored a couple of crackers from distance.

Not sure he would ready to be our main striker just yet but if we went with Maeda and Idah and brought in another winger, he could be a good addition centre forward option. You would imagine he wouldn’t cost much as no one seems to coming from the J League.

Another player I like the look of is Nathan Saliba. He’s just turned 21 at the start of February but has already had 50+ games in the MLS at Montreal and been capped by the senior Canadian team. His deal is also up in December this year so you would imagine he would be available for a reasonable fee in the summer.

The video below shows a quick glimpse of what he is all about but basically he seems athletic and able to get on the half turn.

This write up in the X thread below is pretty comprehensive all be it from last season but Saliba has started this season with a goal in his first game.

One thing I don’t think that is accurate is the height mention as 173cm, he looks taller than that and I have seen him listed as closer to 180, about 5’10 or 5’11. Regardless he does seem to be strong and bodies a couple of boys in the video above as well as having good pace and defensive contribution.

Not so much a suggestion as a we dropped the ball when we had the opportunity with it, Mika Biereth.

When he was briefly on loan at Motherwell his talent was obvious. Now at Monaco, 10 goals in 7 after signing in January. €13m they paid. We could have got him for buttons.

Sturm Graz still had to pay Arsenal €9m for him though. I'm sure we would have questioned paying that for a player who had a good half season at Motherwell.

Good point though, there is more talent on display in this league than people would have you believe.

After a good loan there. When he was recalled the fee was about £3.5m/£4.5m.

Our fans question * everything, it’s the clubs job to drown it out and identify talent before they get to the likes of Monaco for a decent fee.

Think his quality when he was here was very obvious, Arsenal seen it for one and recalled him due to it, to send him elsewhere they could ramp up the fee which would never reach €9m that he went for if he stayed at Motherwell. That’s when we should get in early.

To think this is the same Arsenal who are struggling for a striker atm as well. Joke of a club…

Showed up well today. Missed a few but was making great runs in behind the defence and a bit of a unit as well.
