Celtic & 49ers fan

So I am a lifelong Celtic fan from Ireland. Used to have a season tickets, the whole lot. But I am also a 49ers fan for the past 15 years. Nothing will ever compare to Celtic, but I've been obsessed with the 49ers for years. This new news has sickened me to the point that I've put all my 49ers gear up for sale. Not sure if I'm exaggerating but I can't see how I can support a team that owns them. Anyone else here a 49ers fan ? Or a fan of another nfl team and what do they think of the situation. I love the 49ers but my hatred for Rangers is bigger

 

Couldn’t give a * about American football, but if i was into it and Supported 49ers it wouldn’t bother me, with the new financial fair play rules there is * all they can do with the playing squad as you can basically only spend what you earn. They may wipe out their debts but that’ll be about all they can do. (That’s if it happens).

Given the * show there all I care about is the team on the field. What owners and whomever else involved does, I don't really care.

Your fellow 49ers fans across the pond won't have this on their radar so try not to let it bother you man.

 

Also, I'll take the 'Gaelic' football over the NFL any day, it's a much better game!

Not really into NFL, though I stayed a while in Georgia so Falcons are my default team. But who owns a club really wouldn't trouble me. Sports clubs to these guys are just brand names in a portfolio, they mean nothing to them other than being businesses to make money. They could own shares in Celtic are we would never know.

 

Yeah I get that. Maybe I'm thinking too much into it. But Every season the players make a video to wish Leeds the best of luck in the upcoming season. Expecting the same every year now for the filth

I'll be honest, I don't think it would bother me. Who the owners also own doesn't change the team. If DD bought something I * despised it wouldn't change how I felt about Celtic

 

In order my sporting preference

1)hurling
2) gaelic football
3)football
4) nfl (the bears)

It wouldn't bother me in the slightest really. Listen they still aren't nailed on to take them over anyway.

I like the Raiders and have a soft spot for the Browns as when I was a kid in Dublin an American family moved in near where I lived and the parents each game me a jersey of their favourite team. The dads was the Raiders the mom the Browns. I liked the Raiders logo and silver and black jersey the best hence I favoured them but still liked the Browns too. If either of those teams were involved with the zombies I would have nothing to do with them so I can see where your coming from although for me it wouldn't really change anything as its not like I am really into american football in any big way.

 

That's a great order. Although I'm from Wicklow so we never had many GAA memories as our team is *. I think I'll just need to get over it. Still praying it falls through

yeah I get you. It's hard to come to terms with it, it's almost like I'm supporting a part of them. I understand it's just an investment it's just unlucky it's them
