I can understand people not caring what he does now he has left but he was a good player for us, just didn't fit the mould of a Rodgers striker.

I certainly wouldn't be saying "* him". He moved on, we got Jota. All good.

Still a far cry from demanding a move but I'll take my medicine on this one.

 

Tbf Kyogo never stated he wanted to leave for a bigger league to further his International career.. it was the Japanese manager..

Like I said in few posts earlier it's a flawed narrative. As you've said here too.

 

But people think it makes them sound tough by saying “* him”. After what he’s given to us and the club, there really is no need for some to be so immature about someone chasing their dream.

 

I don't really care if a player 'demands' a move. Players are entitled to want to move on, just as fans are entitled to not care about the player any more.

 

Definitely, players ask for transfers all the time, that's just football.

No issues with people no caring about them after they move either.. but no need to abuse Kyogo, in this instance.. some have short memories.

 

Played for almost 2 years carrying an injury, always available and always tried, even if his form had dipped. Plenty have got their moves acting the *, don't get how anyone could level that at him. The wee man will always be remembered extremely fondly as far as I'm concerned. Some cracking and important goals for us to look back on.

Wouldn't be pure ripping him or saying * him, but he made his bed, chased a * move to a relegation threatened team in a mediocre league. Also, Maeda and Hatate regularly get called up for Japan despite playing in Scotland, the manager obviously just doesn't fancy him. Just one of those things. Thanks for the memories, etc but we move on and I'm not gonna shed a tear if he doesn't get called up for Japan or gets relegated and doesn't get a game for Rennes.

That's how I view former managers and players. Only interest I have is in possible returns and possible sell-on fees... I don't wish any of them bad, but don't really care if they sink or swim...

Loved the wee man during his time, he's a formidable talent, he should have gone on to a HIGHER level than us and not stepped down... But he's gone, and I'm done caring!
