I expected us not to win today so im not bothered but we also played a part in it in the lead up.

Letting players stay up and have a drink, not returning home to the following night. We'd never do that if we were in a title race or early in the season.

Done it a week too soon, this week playing weekend, midweek, weekend again we should have been more focused on getting through this then we can relax and enjoy the rest of the season only playing every weekend for a while. Could have had a wee night out togther next Sunday.

We had to stay overnight in Munich due to airport restrictions..

No issues with them having a glass of wine or a beer after our European campaign finished.. it wouldn't have been a session and they trained the next day in Munich before flying home..

Always going to be a tough one after Tuesday

Didn't know about that. It does further explain the legginess today though.

    An off day.

I was a bit wary of this one beforehand and it turned out right. We will recover.

Also he's bang on with the VAR..not often you see him like that.

We don't have enough angles or enough people reviewing. It's been obvious for some time.

Would also say that the squad is still looking very light.

Agreed and tbh that shows you how impactful one bad transfer window can be (summer 2023).

Think Rodgers has some responsibility for that too, basically holding out for better calibre players.

Actually coming round to him being right on this and starting to think his longer term view means he's building a better squad as he intends to stay a season or 2 more. This is the short term pain but hopefully worth it longer term.

Rodgers had them training in the morning in Munich. Don't even think they'd have got a glass of wine.

Think it's the effort they put into that match more than anything.

He said in his presser they allowed them a beer and a glass of wine but it's wasn't a Scottish session:56:

He should absolutely be holding out for the best possible players. The club not being able to get them in the door as an issue that needs addressing..

VAR should consist of approximately 30 fixed cameras in every ground, set to look at the same point, so we have all grounds and matches judged equally and fairly.

7 on each sideline looking across the field (corners, 18 yard line/penalty box, halfway line, about 30 yards from goal.)
4 on each byeline (corners up the sideline, edge of penalty box)
4 on each goalpost (2 looking out to the corner, 2 reading the goal lines)

Then we need to introduce more markings on the pitch/offield to assist refs, VAR in the decisions - nothing to stop multiple broken lines dividing the pitch, marking the balls radius beyond the touchlines, or to insist on a specific cut of the grass to improve the visibility.

Beyond that everything else can be calculated by a "Hawkeye" software package.

I know it'd take initial seed money, but once installed the cost should be minimal after that

Reasons like today is why we need to be around 10-13 points clear whilst in Europe......Games like this come along and we are knackered of have an off day.

But he really needs to sort out this Hatate/Taylor starts....This aint helping him or us at all.

Another game that also shows we need more quality in areas and backup.

    We definitely don't.

Chasing the game today and not 1 sub brought on 2nd half.
Players out on their feet on Tuesday and only 2 subs used.

We have a lot of players but still lack the required quality.

None of the back up back 4 are good enough to be 1st team players not would you event fancy any of them coming on to start a game in Europe if we had an injury.

For me mccowan is a good spfl level player but he should be 6th choice midfielder and should be 2 better options ahead of him. Fact we only have 1 and he's currently injured highlights the lack of depth in there.

We clearly need a new 1st choice striker as we never bothered our * replacing Kyogo.

Lot of work to be done in the summer.

Tuesday has taken a lot out of us, you could see it today. What it will do today however, is make sure we want to set the record straight in the cup game against them. Similar to what happened when we drew with Aberdeen at home then annihilated them at Hampden.

Have to say I absolutely love that bit of fire he shows when we don't get the result.

If Celtic had beaten Hibs with two goals in the last 10 minutes, he doesn't go in on VAR like that and probably barely highlights it at all. But I think it's great to see him defend the club and have a pop at dodgy officiating when we don't get the win/draw we merited.

I mind back to some of his interviews when the title race was close last season and it was that same bit of fire with the media/officials. The Beaton stuff at Tynecastle, the "good girl" interview. Just something about seeing him with that extra bit of aggression in defending the club.

    A total * winner

Hibs are probably the in form team in the league, what is it now 13 unbeaten, 10 of them being wins? BR’s teams going back to his first spell going to Easter Road was a struggle, think his first win there was last season, and after midweek and how mentally shattered we were at the end of the game, in hindsight for me at least it was probably always on the cards to expect that the way it ended up could definitely happen.

without hindsight though, I had a fiver on an Idah hatty:56:

Over the course of the season games like that can happen, we’ve been that consistent this season that it’s largely forgot that it’s something everyone would say they’d expect over the course, when it happens that we forget about that. We’re phenomenal at overreacting as a fanbase sometimes, some of the * I’ve seen * spout about it is mad. The biggest one that’s being thrown about is unacceptable. It’s not, it’s annoying but in the context of the rest of the season and were we are it’s easily acceptable at least for me. It’s a * it, that can happen, we’ve got a game against Aberdeen at Parkhead under the spotlights midweek and a quick turnaround to react to this performance. And the way this team is this year, it’s a game I fully expect to see a big reaction and to take it out on Aberdeen.

It’s a one off as of right now, a rather explainable one off. Onto the next one. To prove that’s what that game was, a blip not something we have a habit of.

Good on him for challenging the decision if the ball was out or in, with hindsight it doesn’t really matter due to other results, this is a time to challenge the incompetent and corrupt officials in our game so stick to your guns Brendan and say to them prove that ball was out!
