The entire unit at the back were solid. Him and Trusty have a good understanding now.

Think theres a half second delay, fatigue likely played a part, he's also maybe not expecting Schmeichel to make the save or for the ball to spin the way it does.
He still gets to the ball 1st and is incredibly unlucky with the way it breaks.

Thought he was superb overall tho

Wouldn’t put any blame on him for the goal to be honest, completely natural reaction to stop when he sees the boy wide open in the 6 yard box. Unfortunately for him and us Davies gambles and it pays off for him. He was still solid as * tonight and under absolutely no circumstance can we afford to lose him in the summer.

Don’t know if he can react any quicker, don’t think he can predict where it’s going from Kaspers hands.

That's harsh... He didn't react slowly, it's just that the Bayern fella had everything in his favour - he just had to bundle it towards goal, CCV had to read it, be sure not to score an OG, try to turn to point it away from goal and then try to hook it. He nearly made it and the other guy moved on it very quickly...

    * happens, we go again!

Solid, thought he was sleeping a bit at the goal but after watching it back I don't think there's much else he could have done, just one of those things. Deserved a clean sheet.

I think its more that Davies is lightning quick rather than CCV being slow there.

Davis just been on the pitch for 20 minutes so full of energy and Vickers had ran his * off so tiredness would have kicked in but our lack of quality on the bench came to bite us in the * we need better if your playing in this tournament and a quality striker ,two midfielders and a quality winger would have made all the difference

He couldn’t of done anything else for their goal, he’s not gonna risk putting it behind him or back across goal. He’s just unlucky Davies timed it well. He was colossal at the back along with the whole defence and Kasper.

The biggest compliment I can pay him and everyone else back there is they only really cut us open once in terms of a proper one on one.

Excellent again. Him and Trusty building some partnership.

Couldn't take the chance of not seeing the game. I would have nodded along to anything and it looks like I actually did

Thought he was below his usual standards today, as were many. He gets a lot of slack because he's usually so consistent but he was poor today. Also thought we were lucky not to concede a penalty before Jota's shot was cleared off the line.

Him and Trusty were poor, he was better than Trusty but still way below his usual standards.

Thought he was awful today. One thing I’ve noticed a lot this season, and it’s infuriating, is the amount of times he just heads the ball either straight in the air or right to the opposition when he can bring it down or just let it run through to Schmeichel.

Think his own goal against Brugge has gave him an element of doubt ever since, he hesitates now when he uses the option of Schmiechal, it’s rattled him a bit. It’s took an edge of decisiveness out his game, I think it’ll smooth out again over the next wee while.

Martin Boyle today up against him was excellent and one of very few times I’ve seen CCV be unsure how to defend him. He was always worried about not letting him run in behind, and Boyle knew it, and would drop into the space and make him step out tk chase him. But would make like he was dropping in then go in behind just enough to keep him on edge.

He’s that used to being comfortable and dominant regardless of what the other guys doing when he’s forced to adapt to them he brings a slight hesitation rather than his usual decisiveness when he knows regardless of what they do, he’ll be on top. It’s that rare the only other time I think I’ve seen him like that was Miovski last season. So every chance I’m over analysing like * and it’s just two rare examples of him not being a * defensive monster and two below par games but it was very similar performances and similar way the two of them forced a bit of uncertainty into his game. He’s really not used to any amount of uncertainty usually you can visibly see it when that’s happened, mad that it’s only two examples I can think of his full time at us but.
