Outstanding last night. Quieter in the second half, but I thought he was the best player on the pitch in the first half.

The early pile on was ridiculous, for a young lad adjusting to a big transfer - both financial, cultural and in terms of the physicality of the new structures. It's crazy that folk were for chasing him out so early in his career and settling in period. I'm delighted he's settled now, is continuing to develop under Rodgers and we're starting to see his full confidence and ability at work...

I'd enjoy next year, because I don't think we'll have him beyond that, unless something drastically changes to alter our trajectories versus the money laden leagues

He may have been our record signing last season but the rapid progress he is making already I think we could end up very easily with him also being our record sale as well as record buy.

Arne Engels is a young guy who has come here with a big price tag and the expectation as well. Was that a real coming of age performance for him?

Yeah, I think he's been developing and growing right through the season.

Like you say, coming in with everything around him. He's really developed into the style of our game, understands the movement patterns and the physicality.

You look at his data and everything over the course of this competition and that physicality which I've been really impressed with as a team.

But for him in particular, he's been very, very good for us. He was excellent but I think he's been improving every week he's been here.

Just a shame for him, like I say, going back to Germany and not being able to get the result we got. We got a fantastic result but obviously over the course of the two legs we just didn't quite manage it. But he's been doing really well.

He’s still making silly mistakes but, overall, he’s gone up a level or two recently.

Turning into one of my favourite players, he's everything that I hoped David Turnbull could become when he first signed with us and he's just gonna get better.
