Real Madrid are reportedly considering leaving LaLiga as their feud over refereeing standards - further ignited by Jude Bellingham's recent sending off - rumbles on.

Madrid midfielder Bellingham was shown a red card by referee Jose Luis Munuera Montero for foul and abusive language 39 minutes into their draw with Osasuna.

The Spanish referee accused the former Birmingham City wonderkid of shouting 'f*** you' in his direction, as Bellingham vented his frustration.

Nevertheless, Bellingham's account of the scenario is different, with the 21-year-old adamant that he said 'f*** off'. He also claimed that the language used was aimed at himself in frustration, rather than at the match official.

Now, Spanish outlet Sport have claimed that Los Blancos could make a stunning move and join a different league in Europe, amid frustrations over officiating in Spain.

The report claims that Madrid could look to join Serie A, Ligue 1 or the Bundesliga - Italy, France and Germany's respective top divisions - to solve their issues.

However, any potential change of league for Madrid would first have to be approved by FIFA and the respective league that they would ask to join. They would also need approval from UEFA to change leagues.

Should they seriously look to move to another league, the outlet claim that Madrid's brand and the high-level football they'd bring could serve as major positives.

Madrid have been left incensed with recent officiating decisions in their matches, with Bellingham's incident the latest in a long-list that the Spanish giants have drafted.

Earlier in the month, prior to Bellingham's sending off, Madrid filed acomplaint against Royal Spanish Football Federation in regard to 'serious refereeing behaviour

Carlo Ancelotti's side fell to a 1-0 loss to Espanyol, after defender Carlos Romero scored in the 85th minute for the hosts.

The goal sparked debate among Madrid fans as many felt as though Romero should have been sent off earlier in the match for a nasty challenge on Kylian Mbappe.

Shortly after, Madrid wrote a letter which read: 'The events that occurred in this match have exceeded any margin of human error or referee interpretation.

'What happened at the RCDE Stadium represents the culmination of a completely discredited refereeing system, in which the decisions against Real Madrid have reached a level of manipulation and adulteration of the competition that can no longer be ignored.

Given the seriousness of what happened, Real Madrid demands that the RFEF immediately hand over the VAR audio recordings relating to the two key plays of the match:

'1. The audio recordings of the communication between the VAR and the field referee in the action of the tackle of the player Carlos Romero on Kylian Mbappé.

'2. The audio recordings of the communication between the VAR and the field referee in the play of the disallowed goal for Vinicius Jr.

'3. The conversations between the members of the VAR room in both plays.'

Shortly after Madrid's statement, LaLiga president Javier Tebas hit back and suggested that the club failed to provide alternative solutions in a recent meeting.

According to Marca, he said: 'I was not at all surprised by Real Madrid's letter, as it does not say anything different from what their television channel has been repeating for some time.

'Many of us advocate a radical change in the arbitration system, moving closer to the English or German model, with a completely different organisation and much more transparency in all the structural decisions of Spanish arbitration'.

Meanwhile, after his sending off on Saturday afternoon, Bellingham now faces a potential 12-match ban following his X-rated rant towards the referee.

The Spanish FA's disciplinary Code tells that any player guilty of 'insulting, offending, or addressing the main referee, assistants, fourth official, directors, or sports authorities in offensive terms or attitudes' will be punished with a suspension of four to 12 matches.

If that ban is enforced, Bellingham will miss Madrid's LaLiga bouts with Girona, Betis, and Rayo Vallecano, as well as the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Sociedad.

If it was to be extended to the full 12 matches, Bellingham will then miss the majority of the remainder of the season.

Bellingham was clearly not expecting a long time on the sidelines as he wrote: 'enough said about the misunderstanding

Just wanted to apologise again for leaving my teammates in such a tough position and thank the fans for their support and understanding. See you on Wednesday at home'.

They've been an embarrassment recently. That Balon D'Or fiasco was ridiculous.

Love what’s happening to the state aided *.
Would be perfect justice if they won the league but Spanish FA withdrew their licence to play in Champions League next season.

The referee that sent Bellingham off is under investigation because he owns a sports talent consultancy firm which has Atletico Madrid, Man City and PSG as clients.
Could get a 5 year ban.

Edit: Just realised we’ve played all 3 teams in Europe.
Need to check if he was an official at any of those matches especially if they were his clients at the time.

Aren't they essentially the team of the establishment? The Royal family team, even Franco supported them. They have a self righteousness about winning things and like the huns it appears their FA bends over for them.
