Tbf, both KT and Valle were up in the air for most of Jan.

Very impressed with him tonight, didn't look out of place at all on the big stage.

I have seen a few people suggest this and for me it's a * awful idea. We already have a small defence, replacing a tall CB with a 5'10" LB is just bizarre outwith an injury crisis.

Said before the first leg I'd have started him then.

He knows Elise inside out and he has the attributes for this level. If ever there was evidence as to why Taylor is such a weak link, tonight was it.

Outstanding. After a shaky start positionally.

Couple of balls over the top early doors, even though I felt the second one was offside. I don’t think Jota helped at all defensively first half, he was good going forward and we needed to carry a threat, but I felt he left Schlupp 2 v 1 a lot and he then didn’t know whether to stick or twist. One v one I thought he was very good, and he was strong in the air. It was just a massive upgrade on what we’ve seen from Taylor against this level of opposition.

It just goes to show how crucial pace and power are at this level. It's important all over the pitch but particularly at the back, if we don't keep him, and I'm not sure he will want to stay beyond the summer, we need someone with similar qualities.

I think we've got a good chance of securing him for longer.. we're giving him the chance to play CL football and to win more silverware.

Silverware yes, but He might be thinking that KT gets all the CL games. But I was more thinking of his family, I think he has a school aged kid, so he may not want to move too far away for a longer period.

Thought he was very good. Just that bit more composure and physicallity helps so much.

We'll see, it's a short career, hopefully we make it a no brainer for him.. KTs game time will be managed.

It will, but you don't make a player our highest ever paid and not have the intent for him to play our most important games. Anyone coming in will be aware that if he's fit he plays the big games. Whether they decide to gamble that he won't be fit for them is another matter.

I don't know if they worked on that area beforehand despite who started, but they definitely targeted our lect hand side..

Had loads of work to do, against what I thought was easily their best player over the 3 legs in Olise. Was superb though overall..
