..I feel like I'm getting into 'eat my hat' territory with Idah.

Really happy for him. Stepped up big time since Kyogos left.

He's got all the attributes if he brings it all together consistently. Got to be honest I didn't think he had it in him, delighted to be proven wrong.

Like @McChiellini.. says though, needs to work harder off the ball. Probably seems worse because we're comparing him to Kyogo and Maeda, but those are the standards and he needs to match them.

The difference is in the modern game not many players get to rest off the ball, the modern striker is expected to run and put pressure on the ball.

Idah needs to bring it, at CL level you can’t afford to be passive nor have passengers. As McChiellini and yourself quite rightly say, he needs to improve on Wednesday night’s performance.

I don't thinknhes ever gonna match them tbh. There's few players in world football who can.

He's also 6ft 3 and completely different build...just don't think he's gonna be at that level. But he can definitely still improve it.

Even at that, for his size he does press fairly well, I think comparing him to Maeda and Kyogo will always make him seem worse in that regard, but I've always thought his press was decent.

He's a lot quicker than people realise as well, obviously I'd prefer him in the box but you notice it when he ends up on the wing.

He's on a excellent run of form, but I wouldn't be starting him against Munich, be interesting to see how Rodgers plays it.

    I think we do, absolutely..

Ideally someone who can play along the top 3 positions.

We're light, as the man in your emoji said himself.

I was kind of fishing to be honest mate. I do think we still need a striker, I’m just not totally convinced we need someone who is directly to replace Kyogo, as I feel Idah can be that man.

For me the thing he need to improve on more is imposing his physical attributes. He's a tall strong lad and for me shojld be using it more. Think it's maybe a balance and upper body fix.
Yesterday though he showed a lot more with his back to goal and having a quick turn and shoot. Ball control was better in that sense

Delighted for Adam, sure hes not the finished article but there are positive signs of real progress.
And he has delivered in big moments for us.
And that for me. warrants us all getting behind and supporting him-he will feed off that positive energy.
Still feel he would have kicked on much earlier if he had a pre season with us.

Hey sometimes its a good thing to be wrong. I remember when we signed him on loan last January I was not happy as I just didn't think he was someone who was going to come to Celtic and be a success but he certainly proved me wrong last season by scoring some vital goals and making a really significant contribution to us winning the double last season.
Hopefully he can continue to kick on and have a great run as we hit the business end of the season. Like yourself I am delighted for him too as its clear he is someone who really appreciates playing for Celtic and loves being a Celtic player.

His lack of pressing and effort in doing so annoyed me a bit tonight. Probably cost us extra time because of it..

Had a big hand in the goal, though.

Definitely does need to work on that side of things but as I said the other day I don't think he can be compared to the likes of Kyogo and Maeda on that front. Very few can.

He did loads of work defensively and was involved in the goal.
