Would be very harsh on Idah to drop him anyway, let's not forget he's also on form and showed he can score in big games

Do we think Schlupp can start this for us?

Taylor will be easy food for Bayern i think, Schlupp adds that pace both ways and physicality..

The only problem with that is then Taylor and Jota coming on say with half hour to go. We lose that power and speed of Maeda and Schlupp off the left..

Let's not get carried away. We pasted Dundee and Raith Rovers but Bayern are different gravy.
    Need a Leipzip+ performance.

Maeda can't start the first leg. Still suspended.

EDIT: Just saw the news. I take it back!

Aye that's probably right but Taylor against this mob isn't gonna be pretty..

Hes gonna need silly protection from Maeda and Trusty..

Real worry if they target him, which i think will absolutely happen..

Which makes it even more crazy that he was effectively contacted hours before the window closed.

Could, Olise will play on the right for them and he will terrorise Taylor you'd think as he's quick and really skilled on the ball, interesting also that he played with Schlupp for years at Crystal Palace so he will know him well.

That’s absolutely massive news about Maeda. That gives us a chance - not only because of his current form and boundless energy - but because now we can bring on Jota instead of Yang for the last 30 mins.

By far the most likely lineup. How much more comfortable would you feel with KT in there for Taylor though?

Aye mate. I was dreading the idea of being ahead in the game and being forced to bring Yang on :giggle1:

we’ve got McCowan, Bernardo, Jota, Schlupp and Scales/Ralston as bench options now which should mean we can maintain the levels we set in the first hour.

Buzzing for it. I believe we have a chance and these are the games that can potentially be spoken about for decades if we pull off the win, regardless of what happens in Munich.

We really really really need to get our set up and press right. All well and good having Daizen, it's a big help in that regard, but if we don't back him up with the press they'll pass rings round us all night long.

If that's the plan, we shouldn't start Idah. Pressing was the #1 priority under Ange. We still do it under BR, but less aggressively. Selling Kyogo doesn't help in that regard. I expect us to pick our spots rather than press consistently high up the pitch. Maeda excels at both pressing and counter attacking in space. Can still be effective even if we sit back at times and let Bayern dictate the tempo of the game.

Will need to be even better than Leipzig.

Remember they should have been 3 up within 25 mins against us. If we give Bayern the chances we gave them they'll take them.

This is gonna need to be a monumental effort. I'm worried about the space we may give Musiala.
