To me he clearly has a higher ceiling than Welsh. That might sound a bit off considering the teams that have been after Welsh previously but Murray is much more physically suited to the position and seems to have a calmness and composure that Welsh didn’t have.

I like him, he’s a big athletic lump, he just needs games now.

Think he is good with ball at his feet. Would like to see him up against a packet striker to see what potential he may have.

Just a small thing but at one point he controlled a high ball and brought it down on his chest, always a good sign, not tested tonight but i thought his passing was crisp and on point.

I am so pleased for Dane Murray. I really think that he can be a really top player.

I've seen him play here when I was away from Celtic, seen him play, I think it was a Midtyjylland game when he was a young boy at 17, and I was impressed with him that night. He was playing with the left-side centre-half, I think.

Obviously, a real challenge in time of injuries, but he didn't accept it. He went away and worked on his body, and you see him now out on the pitch. His power, his speed, his dominance, and he can play football. So I'm very, very pleased for him, because as I said, that's the first time since that game he's played.

The guys coming in, you would never have thought they hadn't been playing as a team, and that's a great credit to them

Today was a game that should be used for players like Murray.

Give them the game time surrounded by established first teamers against a team that we should be winning comfortably.

I know sometimes matches like today can turn into a bit of a slog fest but that has nothing to do with bleeding youngsters.

Get them in. Try them out. Give them the experience they need to make the leap long term.

Quiet came is a good game for a centre half imo.

I like him, I know he’s always been rated within the club but he needs games at his stage especially after being out for the best part of 18 months.

Looked decent. Against weaker opposition but was assured. Will have done his confidence good.

Would love him to succeed here. Been an age since a youngster came through and made a place for himself in the first team. Pretty poor for a club our size

    Looked good

Smart move bringing Nawrocki on next to him for the last 20 minutes too, gave him the opportunity of being the more experienced centre back in the game

Aye I'd love to see him succeed.

He certainly has the physical size and will continue to fill out. Interested to see what he has in his locker pace/agility wise as in the system we play that'll be crucial.

But both Ange and Rodgers have seen something in him so it bodes well.

Aye I thought he looked good on the ball and composed. Only thing is we didn't really see him running to tell how quick he was, would be good if he was quicker than Scales.

His physique is probably what you'd create a footballer to look like as well, built like Van Dijk or Ronaldo.

Be interesting to see how he develops, having that was it 2 year spell out injured might actually have been good for him as he's probably shown the mentality of a Celtic player to actually come back and make it onto the park for Celtic, most would have crumbled you'd think.

My hope is we can continue to push on domestically and get the league back wrapped up so we can give Dane and potentially others a decent few appearances for us to see where he is at going into next year.

I don’t know if he makes it with us but I do know Welsh isn’t good enough and I would rather see someone 4 years his junior get a shot than bring him back from loan just to be there as 5th choice.
