Your Wildlife Sightings!

On a fine 3 hour local patch walk this morning with battling Ruby Roo i predicted i would get Hawfinch and indeed i did, i got great views of a superb flock of 10. Best views for some time, and biggest total for several years. Such handsome birds, our biggest Finch. They being almost Starling sized.

 

I was delighted to hear and see a neat 50 plus formation of calling Pink Footed Geese flying over my house this morning

Hard times matey, know exactly what your going through.

We lost our 15 year old Yorkie October 23 and is still raw to this day.

A wee joke I told for years “ if you locked yer wife and dug in the boot of your car and drove
Around for 2 hours then let them out , who would be happy to see you ?” The dug. lol

Dogs are so special man.

 

Winterwatch was back with a bang last night, beyond fantastic!!!!!!!!!!! That man in the Kayak off the Devon Coast!!!!!

 

A few from Portavade last week, i haven't been out snapping for a while due to bad weather, Hazelwood forest being locked down after the carnage of the big storm last weekend and i'm having a bit of bother with Arthritic knees, my left knee is giving me serious pain and i can't walk to the usual out of the way spots i like to visit, I decided last week seeing as there was a decent forecast i would take a trip down to Portavade as it's only a short walk to the shoreline after i park my van, i was watching a flock of around 20 Shags and Cormorants on the rocks as the tide was going out, suddenly something spooked them and they flew off out of sight, i thought there must have been a raptor of some sort around to spook them, i looked through my long lens again and saw a White tailed Eagle where the Cormorants were, it sat for around 5 minutes all the time being bombed by Gulls and Crows, i was hoping it would take off in my direction, my heart was pounding when it got up and passed from left to right straight in front of where i was standing, in my excitement i took over 100 pics as it passed by, i had a great morning there and plan to go back sometime this week.
