Mate it's only an online forum, have a bit of perspective :giggle1:

Mad MacEwan has turned it into a bit of a soap opera here, but in reality I've only actually made a couple of negative comments on Trusty, both in the last couple of weeks. He's jumped on both of them as if am slagging his maw.

Been supportive of the big man since day 1, he's done well a lot of the time, especially Atalanta where he was outstanding. But last few weeks I've noticed more and more, how clumsy he is. He's a good defender, but a horrific footballer technically. Feel like hardly any * has noticed it yet, but they will. No even a case of it'll be coached out of him, he's just so unsteady on his feet at times it's just how he is.

He'll get away with it plenty in Scotland, but his luck will run out eventually imo.

By the way, his yellow card last night I thought was a joke. He did well to stay with the guy who looked like he was away. And was strong as * to win the pen.

The bold @MacEwan must have missed my posts at they bits :giggle1:

I know he’s not Zidane or anything, but do you think his technique is all that bad? I don’t know if he looks clumsier than he actually is just because of his size and body shape?

I was just reading there that his baby is due in March. I wonder if the challenges around that over this period are maybe why he’s looked a bit less steady.

Either way, it will be difficult for him in March, if his experience is anything like mine was.

Am all for a bit a leeway for players, only human and all that. Suppose Calmac and Taylor have had similar situations recently that could explain dips in form.

Bit Trusty I feel just isn't the kind of defender that suits us. It's been said before that he's similar to Julien in some ways, which I think is eerily accurate.

It's no often I jump in on a player this early in his Celtic career, but am pretty confident I've got this right, and folk will see it in time.

    If am wrong happy days.

Doesn’t really matter when you post “Donkey” at the end of the game though does it.

You’re only mentioning that because you’re backtracking when other people question you, cos you’re a shitebag.

It’s ok to admit “Donkey” was a stupid post you know.

    Anyway thats me.

I’ve called you out and tried to show you that you’re in the minority because the rest of the thread disagrees. That’s not hiding.

Being a shitebag is mentioning me while you’re in a conversation with someone else, who is also questioning you just in a far more subtle way.

You've called me out. Lol. You're *-hurt cos I called Trusty a donkey and tried to paint a (false) picture of me based on silly wee grudges from years ago. Thought you were being cute trying to 'call me out' and it's backfired.

Take yer medicine and get to yer bed son.

I don't think he's the greatest technically but given you rate Scales as highly I'm confused as to your opinion with trusty.

Scales has of late been a far bigger concern.

I prefer Scales because he's shown he has the mentality to overcome his limitations and produce big performances for us. Has done many times.

Early on this season there were a lot of comments on how he'd clearly been working on moving the ball forward quicker than he had previously. Also the general consensus was that he'd be very unlucky to lose his place to Trusty if he was to replace him because 'a 6mil signing doesn't sit on the bench'.

Scales has had a couple of shockers since then, but that shouldn't wipe out the good work he's done under Rodgers. Trusty for me hasn't earned that faith yet.
