Ollie Watkins who won a penalty from Trusty, scored 1 goal, got 2 assists and missed a barrel load of chances?

Watkins' performance that night wasn't exactly that of a guy who was 'manhandled' by Trusty. He lit it up.

Trusty was fine tonight but I find the praise he gets vs Villa baffling. He and the rest of them got run ragged.

Was a yellow, held the boys jersey for 3 or 4 seconds. He was powderpuff for that * up but apart from that, was decent enough, just bang average on the ball.

Completely disagree, bar Dundee he's been largely excellent for me, he can look a bit gangly on the ball but his defending is top notch imo.

He’s fine as a squad player but I would be looking for better in the summer. We really need another CCV on the left side. I wouldn’t mind him as third choice.

    Best fans in the world.

Couple of (insignificant) mistakes and you’re a donkey.

    1v1 he did. That’s a fact.

Watkins diving when Trusty got the ball isn’t exactly a fault of Trusty?

Watkins laying the ball off for Rogers to smashed it into the top corner isn’t a fault of Trusty?

Scales going to press someone who doesn’t need pressed 20 yards into the Villa half, leaving Trusty to defend by himself for Watkins goal isn’t a fault of Trusty?

Dane Murray handing them a goal isn’t a fault of Trusty?

Baffles me how thick some people can be in relation to assessing a game of football. If you actually look at the 1v1 battles between the two of them, Trusty gets the best of him. People in here said it at the time, people in the studio said it at the time.

He’s the new Scapegoat. It’s truly embarrassing.

He'll get caught out badly a few times over the next couple of months to the point folk will be screaming for him to be punted. It's been building over the last few games, he's a disaster waiting to happen.

    Don't say yous weren't warned.

He had a shaky start and he does have some things he has to iron out in general because he’s making the same mistakes repeatedly but overall I’ve been happy with him. Similar to Idah up top he has all the tools.

    Spot on.

Tonights game is an odd one to complain about for him.

He can be prone to the odd mishap but for the most part he’s been solid … played a massive part in us progressing in Europe this season, in particular the Atlanta game I thought he was genuinely outstanding that night.

I think he’ll continue to develop in to a better player too, he’s never played under this kind of pressure or this many games in his career so it’ll take time for him to adapt … Kuhn looked like he couldn’t find his own * in the dark last year and look at him now.

That would leave 1 rcb and 3 lcbs. At the moment the problem is if CCV is injured you don't just have your 2nd choice rcb you have 2nd choice lcb as Trusty has to fill in on the right.

Our fans always seem to have scapegoats. This season it's generally been Taylor, Trusty and Idah. Some players untouchable or people forget about their mistakes within minutes.

    I like him.

Also thought he was good against Villa regardless of the scoreline. Some conveniently missing out how poor Scales was and how that definitely wouldn't have helped him.

though he started poorly but then grew into it. Some people just have players they don't like which is fine.
Scales looked like Maldini at parts last season but I just couldn't take to him and still can't:56:

I dont like this scapegoat or players they dont like crap.
Fact is, some players are still a work in progress, finding their feet etc and when they make mistakes, it gets spoken about.
Nobody is saying Trusty should be sold, never want to see him in a Celtic jersey again, or anything like that.
Trusty got pelters for that shambolic 3-3 game and rightly so, he was so poor.
A bit like Starfelt, was really poor when he first came in and then had a great last season.
A lot of players can have a poor game but will have loads of credit built up over a period of time.

He needs a proper run of games with a proper partnership of decent quality and not having weaker issues around him.

I know all players would love that, but some get shown up more when it's a position like CB and you're covering for everyone else.

    He doesn't look *.
He doesn't look like he's an equal to CCV either.

His booking last night was silly, but also he was having to go out left back to stop the guy coming through there. I imagine KT in that position would have helped, rather than GT who's usually anywhere but in his defensive position (it is what it is).
He also looks better on the left side when he's not having to cover for CCV being injured, which puts him to the right side and doesn't help the situations.
