Taylor wins headers a lot

 

If anything, at least he now knows how much more intense the game is up here

Definitely thought he had more time on the ball than he got

 

Never trained with team but looked good in possession and absolute unit

 

No complaints.
Nothing noteworthy or negative to come at.
He looks assured on the ball (at 32 you'd hope so) and knows what he's doing.

Thought he slotted in nicely. Looks solid physically.

I actually thought at the game he doesn't look as imposing physically as i'd imagine he'd look, I always thought of him as being a unit but he's fairly slim and doesn't look much different to anyone else. Although got up well for 1 header I remember.

What was scary to me is how mediocre he looked as a left-back in comparison to Taylor, Taylor for me was everywhere in midfield and a big part of the performance, roaming everywhere on the ball a lot tidying up linking play. Then when he came on and he's just standing about the wide and left-back areas passing and controlling it basically, made you think that he probably doesn't even know the way Taylor plays left-back for us existed.

Good to get him on the pitch tonight, could he was just finding his feet a bit, taking the safe option mainly, did well to get that shot off, should see some game time at weekend.

 

Think he should start at weekend needs the games and want him to be fit to play away at Bayern

 

Clearly not match fit, doesn't even look regular fit ha.. good game to get him minutes, he will have no problems here.. very impressive in the air

 

Watched the highlights back and that one he got caught in possession then didn't stop the cross was poor, but nothing came of it and sure he will be fine once he gets up to speed. Looking forward to seeing more of him.

 

Will take him a while to get up to speed, but with the wingers we have he'll get that in training.
