Grand old team to play for
He is covering for them this time, but he did give them pelters in the past. Things like "I've already got a millions wingers" when we were signing Shved.

I think he's keeping a lid on it because he doesn't want drama before the Bayern game.

Are you kidding me, he couldn't have been clearer in calling them out without risking the sack or being unprofessional.
There will be a review that will hopefully lead to the necessary improvements.
Will they change long standing habits within the closed shop, blazers gang?

Stronger/weaker argument is now tedious in conversation, let’s see how the next 4 months goes. Time to support the team to a Treble and the next phase of Europe.

100% it is what it is. But there is a treble to be won and we are still in Europe. So looking forward rather than backwards!

I like to think I can praise the board when they deserve it and criticise when it's required..

But for me not criticising them at all when its clearly warranted is one of the reasons why we're not run as an elite minded club..

The board and a lot of fans are quite content with how we're run and there's no desire for change..

The tiring aspect for me is the fanbase having to be divided and have these conversations near enough every transfer window.

    Sick of it.

It will be interesting to see if they put out the interim accounts next week like their usual timeline or delay them towards the end of the month like they did last year after a backlash regarding the transfer window.

We are in a far better position on the field this year both domestically and in Europe. However, there will be a staggering cash balance revealed again. They announced the Barrowfield project a couple of years ago and that has actually been pretty much paid for by the on field successes. On a side note has that been officially opened yet?

However, it does feel like we need to start tackling or at least hearing how the club plan to tackle long standing challenges around the youth teams and transfer strategy. I do think the club misses a trick in this modern era with the lack of communication that comes from the club other than the manager.

I mentioned it before there are announcements of new roles like Paul Tisdale’s and Darren O’Dea’s. It would be great to hear from them on what they have been doing. I don’t mean share the trade secrets or I am not being condescending on the question of “what they are doing”, I would be genuinely interested in that sort of insightful content being produced by the club.

I believe it also helps raise a level of understanding and fill the gapping comms hole from the club, which is inevitably filled by other sources speculating, like the media, fan media, forums etc.

Similarly in the reports released for the AGM, some commentary on what our targets are around producing our own players, or key milestones the club hope to hit beyond the obvious winning the league.

The fanbase would be divided if we signed Messi. And I’m not even joking.

Last February when lawwell came out and made the statement he spoke of some of the £85m we had at the time being invested in Barrowfield, Lennoxtown and Stadium expansion.

I know we are progressing with the first thing. What's happening with Lennoxtown and the stadium?

Genuine question as well as I can't recall seeing anything in the 12 months since.

For sure having a big surplus like we have is the perfect time to do some infrastructure investment as we can afford to do it without hurting the team. But of course when it came to Barrowfields development that went ahead but not before it was downgraded with the 5,000 seat stand axed. I may have missed it but I have never seen any justification for why that happened. It seemed to me being able to host a lot of the womens first team games there by having that small stand would have been great for the womens team and of course could have been used for other bigger academy games as well.
