Arsenal are pummelling City. I hope Haaland nails Gabriel just for the banter though. Gabriel deserves a good skelp aff him to be honest.

De Bruyne has totally downed tools. Bernardo just trying to kick folk like Fernandes does when Man Utd are getting scudded. Must be a Portuguese thing.

Watched them for loads of this second half no trying a leg. Jogging beside players and no putting a challenge in..

    Finished..

City are abysmal. He's got money in bank but he still must be on a shoogily wicket.

The fear factor isn't there any more when teams play city, their defence has been dreadful.

Does previous success really mean Pep is untouchable?

In a relative sense I would argue this Man City slump is worse than Spurs under Ange this season.

Yeah but spurs haven't won umpteen titles and the CL in the last number of years, pep has some serious credit in the bank.

It's a sackable run for anyone, bar Pep and Jimmy Thelin at Aberdeen it would seem.

I dare say, pep is getting the rest of the season regardless of what happens, but of they languish and don't make the UCL then there very well may be talks behind doors about that extension they gave him.
If so, it'll come out as a general acceptance and pretend the extension wasn't as binding as it was made out, a gentleman's agreement and all that.

But if the slump gets worse and they end up out of European spots completely, there will be no presence

Would the success not be a double edged sword in these types of instances though?

Like how can you be the manager of team so dominant and successful to then immediately crash in form like this?

This slump in form is about as worse any team has faced before a manager gets sacked.

Tbh mate i don't think city will ever get a better manager than pep, whenever the day comes and he eventually leaves the club, i think their success will dry up, money on it's own is not always enough.

You look across the world at the minute, there’s not really a stand out manager available.

Would they go with a manager from left field…don’t think their fan base would then be happy about that. So then you look at managers doing relatively well for that style atm.

arteta? Would he join city after creating a bond with arsenal.
Emery? Would City even want him after his spell at Arsenal.
    ancelotti? Won’t leave Madrid

then outside of that I can’t really think of other managers who’d fit the bill.

even though it shouldn’t happen I could honestly see Vincent kompany replacing him

Rashford looked like he'd just come off a three day bender in his Villa unveiling.

Hmm, don’t think he’s done enough personally for the city fans to be happy with that if that does happen

They won't be happy with anyone.

I don't think you need a big name anyway, Liverpool didn't get a big name they just recruited well. The right guy to take over the team.
