    Chicago Fire Attacks Neymar
According to our information, Neymar, whose contract with Al-Hilal ends next June, is in talks with an MLS club, Chicago Fire

The Neymar case continues to be talked about and fueled by the Brazilian and Saudi press. It must be said that since his departure from PSG, the Brazilian star has not been talked about on the pitch at all. Victim of a ruptured cruciate ligament in his knee just after his arrival at Al-Hilal, the 32-year-old player has not been able to play under his new colours - or almost. After more than a year of absence, he played 2 other matches before getting injured and thus disappearing from the pitch again.

A huge blow, one more for him and for his club which continues to pay a fortune for his contract. Neymar for example received 101 million euros for the year 2024 having only played 2 matches, for a total of 42 minutes of play or approximately 2.4 million euros per minute played. Enough to seriously call his future into question as he reaches the end of his contract next June. For several months, there have been many rumors about his future destination while he has not hidden his desire to play in the 2026 World Cup in the United States.

    A 2-year contract
A return to Santos had been mentioned for a while, but also and above all the path leading to the MLS and Inter Miami. But David Beckham's club, which did not hide its desire to attract him, especially recalled that with the rules of the MLS and the salary cap, it was impossible to bring him in under these conditions, especially with Messi, Suarez, Busquets and Alba in the squad. And other clubs want to take advantage of it. According to our information, Neymar is currently talking with the Chicago Fire club .

The MLS club wants to make a big splash and land the Brazilian this January. There are discussions with the player about a two-year contract. But for the moment, nothing has been finalized or finalized. This is only the beginning of the discussions and there is still a long way to go for the MLS Eastern Conference club. Neymar's future has not finished being talked about, but the path leading to the United States, which will also host the next World Cup, is becoming more and more concrete

Not saying this just because I think Neymar is a * but this would be yet another disaster IMHO in a long line of DP disasters for Fire if they make this move and put so much money into signing Neymar. The cub has been a shambles for a long time now in terms of the first team and how its run and the idea that Neymar is suddenly going to take on a responsible leadership mantle and be the face on and off the field and in the dressing room that can lift the Fire out of the basement I just don't see it.

Away up the road so he doesn’t have to feign injury any time his sister needs a wee hug.

Hopefully that's the last we hear anything about him, let him drift off into obscurity now.

Even to a neutral, this is hyperbole

His career was squandered but he would not be the first Brasilian to shine brightly but briefly. Puts into perspective a player like Messi who was unwavering in his work ethic. Neymar, regrettably, was not a serious professional despite being immensely gifted

I felt similar when Ronaldinho partied his way out of Barça, for some it’s hard to play Samba football without living a samba lifestyle as well

I hope it serves as another cautionary tale for players who have looked up to Ney, like Lamine - to admire the talent/flair but work hard…but perhaps long careers in football will be a thing of the past as well, I hope not

Yes, squandered is a good word to describe his career. * is a bit harsh but I didn't think he had won that much apart from the French league.

Treble at Barça, as part of MSN with league titles here & there but also did little with Brasil

Guy won everything (?) he could in Brazil, including the south American version of the UCL.

Won everything he could at Barcelona, including the FIFA world club cup and the UCL.

Won everything domestically he could at PSG.

    Won a Saudi pro league.

Won the Olympics with Brazil and the confederations cup.

Pretty much the only thing he hasn't won is the world cup itself. (And a copa América surprisingly).

Guys an utter * and diving *.
But he's won near enough everything he could ever play in.
