I think also folk are paying an incredible disservice to Adam Idah - you honestly think he wasn't bought in to eventually either push for or take the starting place?

What's "desperate" about us potentially signing him?

He hasn't shown to be he is ready to be a starter week in week out . He doesn't score enough and is too inconsistent

Why couldn't we have a signed a replacement before he was sold?

If it was known he was going to be away in January surely we take steps to replace him and be proactive we now find ourselves at the * end of a window having just sold our first choice striker and apparently unable to conclude a deal for Kvistgaarden who appeares to have been the first choice for a replacement

Do you ken who our current goalkeeper is and why and how we brought him in?

I think too many people are forgetting we are looking to replace maybe the best striker we've had in the last 10-15 years. Our plan of action after months of preparation is to phone Brendan's pal.

Will end up losing BR again and people happy with this type of transfer better no think of getting on at him as you're the problem.

Thinking we’re going to lose our manager because we’ve signed a player the manager wants us to sign is some crazy mental gymnastics mate, I have to say.

    Underwhelming to say the least.

The hope is we are holding off until the summer so that we can get Kvistgaarden in for a cheaper fee. Might miss out on him if his season continues to go from strength to strength. Risky move:

That's usually what happens when you make cameos from the bench.

He's scored enough to warrant a shot at first choice - scoring winners in cup finals, at the home of your domestic rivals and huge goals/goal contributions in the Champions League says he's done more than enough for that chance.

It’s mad how we are so mismanaged and a mess of a club as we reach the end of the window every time. But continue to sweep up the trophies and have improved in Europe…strange I don’t get it…

I take that argument on board but it's not a sure fire plan he also signed some duds like De Vries

Like I say, despite the fact that HE told the club he was wanting to move on, that doesn't set it in stone that he was leaving - so why replace when there was nothing to replace at the time?

We had ONE offer for him, and that was only completed last week. The club obviously felt there was and IS plenty of time to get a replacement in.

It's been a while since I paid much attention to the EPL but a few years back Iheanacho was set for big things. No idea what level he is now but his pedigree is certainly good enough and no issue at all if he signs.

The bigger worry for me is that once again it feels like it is left to Rodgers to phone a few old friends days before deadline to get some decent quality in. It worked out well with Schmeichel and it's good to have a connected manager with a good reputation, but surely we should have a better scouting and recruitment plan than that.

Do you honestly think months ago when we knew Kyogo wanted away that this boy was anywhere near the top of a list of replacements?? If you do then PM me as I've a very good business idea for you mate. It's not a pyramid scheme. Honest.......

    Interesting across their entire careers.

Iheanacho has a better per minutes goal involvement than Kyogo

7 nil in Barca absolutely killed him or he’d have been thought of better. We beat the Huns 5-1 with him in goal right before it.

Ultimately no harm done as he was pulled out the firing line, was never truly first choice.

How on earth has he scored enough to warrant a shot at first choice ? He was on a 14 game goal drought before Wednesday.
He's scored some big goals as you say but we need someone to consistently find the net. He may warrant a shot at first choice , to try fulfil his potential perhaps , but it certainly isn't off the back of the number of goals he's scored in a Celtic shirt as you've suggested.
