Too cheap to go and get our main target we’ve been tracking for about 2 years.

Ask Rodgers to go into his wee book and loan one of his former players.

    Classic

    Those first two highlights :56:

Surely a red flag that sevilla signed him 6 months ago made 9 appearances and already hunting him.

Damning for Nicholson if he fails to close deals for Kvistgaarden and Ørjasæter.

    Yep.

Iheanacho would maybe just be about acceptable if we sign Ørjasæter. But if we end up with neither of the two you mentioned it’s a complete failure.

Celtic are in talks with Sevilla over the transfer of striker Kelechi Iheanacho on loan until the end of the season.

It is understood that the loan deal for Iheanacho, who previously worked under Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City, would come with an option to buy.

The 28-year-old signed on at Sevilla last summer as a free agent, having played a total of 232 games for Leicester, notching 61 goals and 34 assists up until the 2023/24 season.

He also made 64 appearances for Manchester City, having played in the English club’s youth team, scoring 21 goals and providing seven assists over two seasons.

Iheanacho is a Nigeria international, gaining 57 caps and scoring 15 goals for his country.

I know hoghlight reels don't tell everything but combined with what I have seen of him live (actually a fair bit) this one would worry me. That's the worst video I've seen from a player with his experience and supposed pedigree. Genuinely looks like a semi pro player at times.

He's always struck me as the kind of player who is so hot and cold and if he can be arsed turning up he might. But otherwise quite lethargic and ponderous in a lot of what he does. Playing in Scotland that will not go down well and it's pretty much polar opposite to what we had in Kyogo.

Kvistgaarden fits the bill. When folk are moaning about paying near the fee for him but when this is our second option...crikey. Iheanacho is on a downward trajectory and has been for some while.

I can't be arsed. If we get him instead of paying money for Kvistgardeen the rest of the season will be a bore fest.

Aye he's always struck me as a player with a languid style that deffo tells you no long in to a game of he fancies it or no..

No for me this one at all..

The end of this window is truly giving me the fear. Was nervy from Rodgers interview yesterday..

Let's see what happens, maybe we're trying to call Bronby's bluff..

However, the window is going from potentially excellent to Meh..

Aye I'm starting to get concerned now.

Feel like we are struggling to conclude deals. I've been of the opinion that we've had little choice in Valle and Kyogo leaving. That better be the case because if we've let them go whilst being so unprepared it would suggest a return to the old times.

Not saying it's Bullshit, but he was suggested on KDS a few days ago, not a rumour, a suggestion, and it's clear the media are picking up rumours from there

Still 2 days left, let's see what happens, I'd trust the republican saying we've bid for Strelec much more than the tabloids tbh

This guy all day every day over Kvistgaarden for me, the money they want for him is utterly ridiculous and he isn’t worth it at this stage.

Genuinely shocked at the general reaction to the link.

These last couple links could be just coming from kds. Club could be very nervy around kvistgaarden considering the outlay for him and idah (20mill+).. would leave the club fairly badly exposed if kvistgaarden didn't hit the ground running.

I'm the same. Be crazy to let ourselves get ripped off for Kvistgaarden.
Would have preferred Patson Daca or William Osula ? But willing to give this guy a chance.

He did cost £25M at one time. Rodgers knows him, so must be comfortable with the risk.

It took him 4 seasons at Leicester to score his 10th premier league goal for them. He also scored 4 or 5 championship goals in his last season with them. I actually rated him at City and thought he would be class for Leicester. Can’t say I’ve seen a huge amount of him.

Decent enough pedigree, played at a high level, scored CL goals and Rodgers has worked with him before so clearly rates him if he’s interested in bringing him here.

A little from Column A, a little from Column B in my eyes. Wouldn’t be over the moon or fuming with this one.

Yes please. Always impressed me at Leicester. Experienced and pretty quick - should score for fun up here with our wingers feeding him the ammunition.

So a young outfield version of Joe Hart?
